On February 12, 2022 I paid ******* to Star Tire to rotate and align my 4 wheels and tires. In addition they changed out my old breaks with new ones, all four/4. My truck is a 2018 Ford Sport with a 6inch lift. On February 15, 2022 at approximately 6:20am, I drove on to *** *** freeway to drive to work, this was the first time I drove my truck since the repair on Saturday. As I was driving on the freeway I quickly noticed it was difficult to steer my truck, it would veer to one side, when I attempted to correct the direction it would sway and not steer straight. I exited the freeway and reentered the opposite direction to return home, my intention was to drive my truck back to Star Tire when they opened at 8a. I drove in the slow lane with my hazard lights flashing. As I exited the freeway at ********* avenue driving up the off ramp, I felt the back of my truck violently shake then suddenly the back end of my truck dropped! As I came to a quick stop I looked in my rearview mirror and saw my wheel and tire in the road behind me. I called 911, a *** officer arrived about 40 minutes later. In the mean time I had to walk down the off ramp toward the freeway and flag drivers exiting the freeway away from my vehicle so that they would not hit it. When the *** officer arrived he told me I was very lucky the wheels did not come off while I was on the freeway driving, he explained high profile vehicles like mine tend to flip over under this circumstance. I called Star Tire and spoke to the owner, ****. It was clear he was not willing to accept responsibility for the bad work that was performed on my truck and definitely not willing to reimburse me. He never asked if anyone was hurt or showed any concern what so ever.
