      My account was hacked so I was late on my account ********************** life insurance told me to send a voided check they took the money from my account then sent a letter saying has lapsed and I think they are a rip off they did the same thing with my daughter I want my money back

      My 85 yo Dad has had the Flexible Premium Life Insurance police through Nassau for 33 years. What a rip off. He keeps getting defiency letters telling him to pay varying amounts around $530 or policy in danger is lapsing. He has paid over them over $ 1600 in past 9 months. Today he got a letter stating his annual premiums would total around 2500-3500 for next 5 years. In 5 years, if he keeps this policy, Nassau wil get $16,655.26 for a 20K policy hes been paying into for 38 years! And the cash out value is less than $600. Shame on you Nassau for taking advantage of elderly people. DO NOT BUY A POLICY WITH THIS COMPANY!

      Nassau Re is a company with poor ethics and everyone should stay far away from. I had a life insurance policy originally purchased through Phoenix who sold it to Nassau. I bought the policy in 1985 and made my premium payments faithfully ever since. Recently i received a letter on March 1 dated February 15 saying I owed them over $1400 or my policy would lapse in 60 days. Called them today (March 5) and was told the policy had lapsed. No cash value remained since they took money out to pay the difference in premium increase which I was never informed about. My premium went from $92.50 to $522. I know they wanted to get rid of my policy and they only way they could do it was to get me to let it lapse. Nassau had made the decision to exit the life insurance business and didn't want policies like mine to remain on their books.

      Should be Nassau pirates! My husband and I have been trying to cancel our policies with them for almost a year now. We were given a huge run around because of their ties with Forester's, which is the original company we had policies with. I still don't fully understand why there are two separate policies. We sent in the proper papers stating we wanted to end our policies. Then they sent a letter saying that I needed to fill out some extra paperwork because my last name has changed (its hyphenated, so my maiden name is still incorporated, but I can understand the legalities) so I filled out the paperwork. Three months later and the money for my policy is still being drafted from our account. Mind you, my husband has called them multiple times and has been bounced back and forth multiple times, all while his policy has been canceled for six months. He was told that I would need to be the one to call because they can't speak to him about my policy (even though they had previously). I called them today. I was also bounced back and forth between them and Forester's because I only have the policy number from Forester's but not the policy number for Nassau. I spoke with a woman named Delilah and as I was trying to explain what was going on she was extremely rude, condescending, and kept interrupting me. I literally ended up in tears because she was so rude. My husband took over the call since he was originally dealing with this, and she told him that once they received the name-change paperwork they should have received a phone call from me to terminate the policy (which is stated nowhere in the paperwork). Why would you need another call when we already stated WE WANT THE POLCY TERMINATED AND SENT PROPER PAPERWORK STATING SO?? Then she had the audacity to say, "Why are we only getting a call now if the money has been coming out all this time?" Well, the answer is, my husband broke his back and needed major surgery. This company is a joke and I hope they go bankrupt.

      Nassau Re - what are you hiding? A financial advisor's office can't even obtain a blank surrender form without the client on the line? You are the only annuity company that doesn't provide forms on their website or to a client's financial advisor. I can't wait for these policies to mature and get out of your company for good! I only chose 1 star because I couldn't choose "none" or "negative" star review
