I downloaded an app called Pilates Anytime last year and used a trial subscription to see whether it was something I wanted to do. I decided against the service and canceled as suggested by the app's instructional page. I got an immediate email reply saying that the app was sorry to see me go, and that they would leave the account active for another month to use as a curtesy. Well, at the end of the month they billed me for a subscription. I contacted the app again to cancel and disputed the charge through my credit card. My credit card reversed the charges, but the app never responded. A full year later and this is still going on. Every month they bill me and I have to dispute the charge. When I call their phone line to cancel this subscription all I get is a recording, and when I cancel the subscription online, it doesn't do anything. My credit card is now refusing to keep reimbursing me. This is a scam.Initial Complaint

This online company has been fraudulently charging me for a monthly "subscription" on my credit card for two years. I used my email for a seven day trial and I never authorized a subscription. But somehow they used Apple Pay to charge to my credit card. I have never received any contact from them saying I had a subscription of informing me on the monthly nilling. The total amount they have slowly and quietly charged over the last two years is $432 ($18 per month). Summary: I never authorized this company to use my credit care. I also note others reporting this company to BBB seems to have experienced exactly the same issue.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/04/11) */ I spoke with this customer on March 21st, 2022. The customer created this account in March 2020 (at which time, she would have received a confirmation email from us going into the terms of our free trial and subsequent subscription that would start unless the account was canceled before the end of the trial period). Customers are also able to cancel at any time (via our website, phone, or email). When the customer called, requesting a refund for the 2 years that she was charged, I informed her that our system would only allow me to refund up to 12 months of charges (which I did). For the remaining 12 months, I was able to give this back to her in the form of a 12 month credit (a free account) that would allow her to use the account for free. This conversation ended with her saying thank you and being satisfied with the outcome. We use ZenDesk for communication with our customers, so all calls are recorded. Hopefully, there won't be anymore complaints, but if there are please send them my way. Thanks.
