I contacted this practice on Friday, 9/1/23 and immediately got a text back. I needed an appointment for basic dental check up and cleaning and I specifically asked them if they accepted CIGNA and new patients. They responded that they accepted CIGNA and had an appointment available at 9:30 the next business day, which was today September 5, 2023. I get to the appointment, the provider has me fill out a number of forms, some around medical history and where I work and what my insurance is, which seem practical but then she has any fill out a number of other questionnaires regarding my confidence in my appearance. Then, she took a picture of me as part of her intake. And she requested two pieces of ID, including a credit card. I start to ask questions about why all these forms are necessary when I am here for a basic dental cleaning and check up. And I raise concerns about the time since Completing all these forms has taken about a half an hour of time. She then pulls out paperwork on payment and what my insurance covers and doesnt cover. I ask more questions about this paperwork. I tell her that I am not comfortable going through with services/procedure because its unclear to me Why my insurance would not cover the services today. Then she discloses that her practice and services are not in network. I asked her how is that possible when I show her the name on my network list from my insurance provider CIGNA and she indicates that she is not that dentist (*********************************). I ask her who she is and she responds by quickly lifting up her name tag, which I capture as **************. By this time, I had already filled out the majority forms and initialed them, and I had already provided a credit card. I think this business is deceiving insured customers. I told her so And that I felt uncomfortable getting services at her business. I told her I would file a complaint and I left her office.

I contacted Emeryville dental to have an extraction done on a very loose tooth. The only way to set the appointment up was online so I did shortly after I was contacted by the dental office. I asked if she excepted my dental insurance they replied. Yes we do so the appointment was confirmed the day of the appointment when I arrived I was charged ************************************************************************************** after waiting to be seen proximately hour to two hours later, who I thought it was a receptionist, was actually the dentist. There was a partial x-ray taken, and some painful poking at my gums. The dentist told me she would be right back and left me waiting in the chair for another hour after which she called me back up to the front reception desk And charge me another $50 for some mouthwash and told me that my next visit would cost approximately $1500 and she did not Want to pull the tooth because that would be too much blood And then told me that she was afraid I may swallowing For the rest of that day I dealt with excruciating pain and was forced to make a different appointment with a different dentist who immediately pulled the tooth right away because of an infection and charge my insurance only $100 I then contacted my bank had the payment reversed but when the bank contacted the dental office she showed proof that I was in the office and the money was reversed back out of my account and as a result, my insurance only paid 113 of that $500 and my insurance also said that her prices were way over the limit that they wouldve paid anyway, I sincerely hope that contacting the Better Business Bureau will at the very least warn others about this miss leading way of doing business by this dentist office I have contacted every resource I could possibly think of to get this resolved with out success

I was looking for a dentist and I ran across ***** dental. I called and I asked if they were excepting new patients and that they excepted my insurance and they told me that they did. The dentist office unbeknownst to me took a loan out from a bank in order to cover my dental procedures. This is something I never would have agreed to due to the fact that I pay for insurance coverage with my current job. The dentist advised me that I would have to pay out-of-pocket and then I would be reimbursed through Delta dental I was unsure on what she meant by that and I questioned her and asked her why would I have to pay out of my pocket and wait to be reimbursed. She didnt explain to me that that was just the way they handle payments at her office. A little while later I received something in the mail saying that I have to pay comenity bank $2500 in October of 2021. I had no idea that I was in a loan with a bank through a dentist office and as a result this cost my credit to drop because its on my credit report. Ive called and reached out to Delta dental and they told me that ***** dental is a out of Netwerk dentist office. I had no idea about this and when I asked if they except my dental insurance they told me yes and to come in. I was totally blindsided and as a result I am in debt with the bank for a loan that I had no idea was in my name. Currently I am trying to dispute all of the charges and file a second appeal this has been extremely stressful for me and I just dont want anyone else going through this. I would like this issue to be resolved I would like this to be removed off of my credit and I would like for the loan to disappear but I know thats not going to happen . The way they handle business is horrible Ive reached out to them on several occasions they only communicate via text which is also unprofessional.

--------I was looking for a dentist and I ran across ***** dental. ******************************** statement is false. See attached showing the agreement she signed showing the amount she would be borrowing and showing the interest rate and to whom she would be paying back the loan to.

--------The dentist advised me that I would have to pay out-of-pocket and then I would be reimbursed through Delta dental I was unsure on what she meant by that and I questioned her and asked her why would I have to pay out of my pocket and wait to be reimbursed. She didnt explain to me that that was just the way they handle payments at her office.

*Another False statement by ***************************. See attached.
We explain everything before we do anything.
She was seen at our office at least 4 x and this was explained to her at her every dental office visit.

I had no idea about this

      * AGAIN Another false statement by *************************** as the Delta Dental information showed and signed by ***************** shows that she knew that we were Non Delta Dental Providers

and when I asked if they except my dental insurance they told me yes and to come in. I was totally blindsided and as a result I am in debt with the bank for a loan that I had no idea was in my name.

      * Seems like Ms *************************** had forgotten what was told to her when she came and told us that she understood what we were doing for her.
*All of these 17 pages of proof and over 20 of ******************************* own signatures (atttached) have been provided to her and to you. These clearly shows that we are upfront and honest about our business practices and through no fault of our own is where she is at her finances today. Bottom line is that She did Not pay her monthly installment payments to the 3rd party lending company, hence, and understandably so, they put her down as a bad creditor.
*We have completed our dental services, and we helped Ms *************************** with her paperwork and billed her Dental insurance, where Delta has or is suppose to reimburse her dental benefits directly to her.

Currently I am trying to dispute all of the charges and file a second appeal this has been extremely stressful for me and I just dont want anyone else going through this. I would like this issue to be resolved I would like this to be removed off of my credit and I would like for the loan to disappear but I know thats not going to happen . *AGAIN, Ms ******************************* issues are with her Dental insurance company and the lending company she borrowed money from. These are 3rd party providers and vendors that we have no control over.

      Thank you

Sometime back in June of 2017 I scheduled an appointment to have cavities filled. I specifically asked them to verify what my insurance covers. They verified, did the work, billed me and I paid what they billed me. Then 10 months later in April *********************************************************** under the guise that my insurance didn't cover the full amount and that they now need me to pay the difference. On 12/30/20 I was notified that my invoice was cancelled, on 12/31/20 I was notified again that my invoice was cancelled multiple times, then on 1/12/21 I was again notified my invoice was cancelled, same happened on 1/22/21 and 2/5/21. Today 9/15/21 I received a notification on my phone that a new account hit my credit report. Upon checking I find it is a collection, with further investigation I found that it was placed by Emeryville Dental Care. This needs to be removed ASAP and their harassing practices needs to end immediately.
