Just echoing what I have seen here. General rudeness. Was scheduled to participate in a study, had a family emergency and tried to message as soon as I could. He said over the phone during the first interview that there would be people cancelling or no shows so I didn't feel too bad about missing out and thought it would be relatively easy to back out. Tried to leave a polite email with the emphasis that I was sorry and there was an emergency and the dude responds with "Pretty unacceptable. Not good." Don't know what kind of business has such a lack of regards for the people it is trying to recruit. Either there is a lack of readiness for participants (not employees btw) to back out, or there is a lack of care on the humanity side.

We have been recruiting for 13 years and recruit for approximately ************************** ******* people recruited every month. That is approximately ******* over the past 13 years. We have never had a complaint from a person who has participated in one of our groups. Ever! When we invited said "recruit" to participate his invitation stated: "If you have any questions or need to cancel for any reason, please call ***** at xxx-xxx-xxxx at your earliest convenience so that a qualified replacement can be invited." We received the following email, not a text or phone call but an email at: 9:46pm ET "Hey meant to email you earlier today and sorry for the late email." This did not give us the opportunity to replace him. Our recruit stated, "so I didn't feel too bad about missing out and thought it would be relatively easy to back out" Our job is to recruit qualified people who show up to participate. This is what our clients demand from us, it is how we are judged. We do care tremendously for our clients and for our recruits who participate. This is why we are regarded as one of the top recruiting companies in the U.S and why we have never had a complaint from someone who has participated with us.
