A representative named ***** from VN Green & Clean came out to deliver an estimate to have 3 area rugs picked up, cleaned at their facility, dried, and returned. The representative that came out had no official documents and did not have a uniform or anything proving he was a representative for the company. He offered a quote of **** for three area rugs. The company did not take credit cards, for some reason, so I wrote a check. He also requested Venmo as a form of official payment. At the time I did not have Venmo set up to make a payment so I had to write a check. He took the check and my rugs. I texted him later that same day and let him know I had set up Venmo, and if he had not cashed the check I could pay via Venmo. He told me he would not cash the check so I paid via Venmo. Both payments went through. When I reached out to let him know that both payments had gone through my account, there was no response for almost 3 days. On the day he was supposed to return my rugs, he said he was bringing cash and he would be delivering no later than 10:45am. I waited all day and he never showed up until 8:30pm. He did finally process 1 Venmo refund, but when he delivered the rugs he was behaving very strangely about me signing something saying I would not do a chargeback. Upon inspection of my rugs, I do not believe they were even cleaned. They do not smell fresh and they look exactly the same as when they left. They are even dingy. The website states that they can clean all types of rugs, including synthetics. This was the least professional experience I've ever had working with a company and I definitely got ripped off. That's the only reason I can guess for the INTENSE badgering of signing off on something saying you won't do a chargeback. Maybe I'm not the first? image of email attached w/ ridiculous "legal agreement". I'm concerned that this is not even a real company - when I looked it up for this, the address is an apartment building in Encino. I am so angry.
