Best Solar installed a new roof, Solar Panels, and redid our back yard with turf grass and wood chips, spring of 21 or 22. My wife was the person in charge from our homeowners side. I tried to voice my concerns that the plants they were using would not survive in our climate but I was ignored by the company rep. *** plants have all died in spite of being given huge amounts of water. Since then there have been some concerns with occasional red lights for the solar system. *** red lights have all been short term. It is impossible to reach anyone in the office for the reasons mentioned in other complaints. I have been able to reach our original job rep, he initially just said everything was fine. He lastly tried to talk me into money saving projects, which led to an argument which ended with him telling me not to call him anymore and me being happy to oblige. But I give my warnings to anyone thinking of doing business with this excuse for a company.Initial Complaint

On 3/4/2021 we had the following services completed by Best Solar Power **** HV** unit, 10 windows replaced, solar panels and the entire outside of the house painted including the trim and garage doors. The ** unit had a warranty for 10 years, solar panels ******************************************************************** which the employees who worked on the house said that we could reach out to them if we had issues with the services and they would come fix it. The paint around the trim of the house has chipped off all around the house. I first tried reaching out to the company 8/14/23 and they said they would get back to us and that is the last time we have been in contact with someone from the company. None of the employees respond to text or call and the company number does not answer, nor let you leave voicemail. I have attached the contact for the warranty of the services.Initial Complaint

On 12/16/2020 I signed a contract with BEST Solar Power, *** for a Home Improvement project (Cool Life Paint). This project included painting the entire exterior of my house and includes a 25 year warranty. I was pleased with the initial project until recently when the paint began to crack and fade. I attempted to contact the contractor via phone and email but was not able to get in touch with them. Phone calls went unanswered and no response to email. My request is for repair of the areas that need to be fixed.Initial Complaint

3 years ago I had Best Solar Power, *** install a solar system on our roof. The system is still under warranty. We need to have roof repairs made and the solar panels need to be removed before work can be conducted. We have tried repeatedly to contact the company via phone, email, and web to no avail. No one ever answers their phone and their voice mail is always full. We cannot have another company remove the panels without voiding the warranty (for whatever good it is at this point). I am not asking to have this done for free. I'd pay them to do the remove/reinstall work. But I do not want to void the warranty.Initial Complaint

In 2018 I paid Best Solar Power *** a sum of $30,975 to provide and install 15 solar panels and inverter. 3 months ago my electric bill showed only a fraction of the usual amount of energy returned to the *** grid, and I called them to find out what was the problem. They said to send them a copy of my bill and previous bill, which I did. Since that time, multiple phone calls and emails have not been responded to. Their business line never answers the phone nor does it take messages. The person I was referred to does not answer his mobile phone. Four months ago my electric bill was $26. Now it's $245. They refuse to contact me. I have contacted *** and they informed me that they cannot determine the problem nor are they responsible for the readings, that I must contact my solar company. So what is the point of spending ******** on what I can only assume is inferior equipment with a life span of only 5 years. They gave me a hard sell on this project, "discounting" the price from $38,000 in exchange for waiving the 3-day Notice of Right of Rescission.Initial Complaint

EVER SINCE WE GOT THE SOLAR SYSTEM WE HAVE HAD PLENTY OF PROBLEMS LIKE NOT PRODUCING ENOUGH POWER WHICH WAS ADREESED AFTER ALMOST A YEAR AND THEY INSTALLED ADDITIONAL PANEL NUT I STILL HAVE TO PAY OVER A $100 EVERY MONTH W/ ***. THEY DID NOT DELIVER AS PROMISED EVEN WHEN THEY KNEW THERE WERE 6 PEOPLE IN THE HOUSE AND ALL WORKING FROM HOME, WE PAID SO MUCH MONEY BUT NOW IT'S ALWAYS BROKEN, OR NOT WORKING, IT'S BEEN WEEKS AND IT'S HARD TO GET A HOLD OF THE COMPANY BEC THE OFFICE PHONE VOICEMAIL IS ALWAYS FULL. In June of 2021 I entered in a contract with Best Solar to install Solar power on roof. It was installed a week later after the initial installation there was about 20-30 broken tiles on roof. I was assured those would be replaced, guys came few weeks later and replaced some of the broken tiles. So in December of 2021 my roof started to leak on the first rain. I contacted support and was then handed off to an employee of Best Solar named ****. So for about 3 months I wasn't producing any solar while they were attempting to fix. I kept telling **** to send roofers and not Solar Panel install guys. Finally according to them all was fixed but during that whole process they broke 3 dozen more tiles which i told **** about. 2 months went by and my roof leaked again, I called **** and he assured me they would send a roofer this time. Roofer came and I wanted him to test he fixed the leak he tested once and it leaked I told him about it and he said he fixed it. I asked him to test again and he said no. considering I know nothing about roofing I accepted his answer. From this time which was May 2022 I have been texting **** about replacing my tiles they broke, he woudl tell me they ordered them and shoudl come soon weeks turned into months with not result. So today we had our first rain and MY ROOF IS STILL LEAKING. I cant get hold of **** I just want my roof fixed..................Initial Complaint

In 2017 This company installed artificial grass in my backyard and front yard and they coved part of my front yard with white pebbles. they gave me a written warranty for 15 years. According to our contract they were supposed to demolish yard properly and haul away before installing the artificial grass. Now after 5 years, my grass is wavy, there is weeds growing between the artificial grass lines, some part of my back yard is caving down and since they did not cover the ground with good quality plastic before they put the white pebbles in the front yard, weeds are growing between the pebbles and it looks terrible. I contacted their trouble shooting department last week and talked to "****". He came to see my property and problems that I have with their job performance 5 years ago.He stated that these problems are not covered under the warranty.He stated" the grass has just one year manufacture warranty, and this job was done 5 years ago". I presented him with the warranty that I received in 2017 from their company. I told **** that in 2017 your company promised me a 15 years warranty on grass which is supposed to cover any problem arises with grass for 15 years.He said he will get in touch with his supervisor and get back to me.He didn't get back to me. I had to call them several times to be able to talk to ****'s supervisor " ****". He also said my problems are normal and are not covered under the Warranty. I told him if he doesn't take care of the issue I will file a complaint with BBB. Then he said he will contact his supervisor and get back to me in 24 hours. He did not call me back, and again I had to call the company several times to talk to him. Eventually today I talked to "****" and he said his supervisor offered a check for $200.00 dollars to hire a gardener to take care of the problem and I may keep the change. They lied to me and scammed me with giving me a fake warranty to get my business, and now that I have problem they are treating me like trash.Business Response

We did the best we could to alleviate her issues and never abandoned her requests. We have semt a crew to the home to check all her issues and found that none of what she described was covered by the warranty. We offered her a reimbursement of $200 for her time and trouble. There is nothing more we can do to resolve her issue. Turf only has a warranty of one year and that warranty has expired. Even if the warranty had not expired the issues she wants us to fix is far beyond what is covered by the warranty. this includes pulling large sq ft of turf and replacing completely. This cannot come free of charge as Its now 4 years later. If the client would like us to resolve the issue, a $200 reimbursement is all we can offer at this time as her warranty is expired and we are not liable for such work she wants us to complete. thank you Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/19) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The warranty that Best Solar Inc. provided me in 2017 is a full ten-year warranty on turf, which is supposed to cover any problem that arises with the turf for ten years. I sent the BBB a copy of the warranty with other documents at the time that I filed the complaint. As you see, nowhere on the warranty paper does it say that the warranty is for one year and/or what is excluded in it. Instead, it says "ten-year warranty on turf." This company scams people to make business. They send their agents to people's houses and tell them to lie in writing and verbally to get the job, and then, when problems arise, and you need to use the warranty, they offer you $200 (an incredibly small fraction of what is needed to get the job done) instead of fixing the problem. I want everybody to know that this company is not trustworthy. This is a company run by a bunch of liars who are not even scared of giving people fake warranties in writing. I will allow the BBB to post their writing warranty paper online for everyone to see and know with whom they are working before they trust their work and warranty. Their job is very poor-quality, and their warranty is fake.
