I hired Greenlaw Tax Group on or about Sept 2020, I made a deposit and I was promised a tax debt resolution, I have spoken to ****************************************** and left messages for *********** without a final resolution. The company only filed my 2018 and 2019 income tax returns and I have not heard back from anyone. I tried to email or call from the number I have but they are disconnected. I have been told that my case is with the attorney but I don't hear back from anyone. After almost 2 years I am still dealing with my IRS debt, I lost faith in this company. I am requesting to finish what I was promised ( debt forgiveness) or get a refund.

On 5/26/21 we contacted Greenlaw Tax consulting group. We explained that we owed $******* on taxes from 2018 we were unaware of but could not pay this much and were requesting their services. We were told by a person named *********** they would be able to help us.On 5/26/21 we sent over all the documentation from the ***.Greenlaw Tax charged us $****** for their services which we paid in full. We never received any statement or documentation showing our payment to them or what services they would be providing. After the payment was sent the next communication we received was on 5/26/31, an email from a company called "fund my contract" we were told this is the new consolidated loan payment we will make and were told several times by *********** not make any further payments to the ***.We received another email from fund my contract on 5/26/2021 stating: You have received a request for payment from ***********. To review the request and to authorize a payment, please click the link below. The payment will be drawn from the financing you received from *************** and will be paid directly to ***********." We received a letter via email from a company called********** on 5/26/2021 and this letter stated "*************** are serviced by *********************" After this payment plan was set up we had no more communication from Greenlaw Tax group. On 7/28/21 we received another letter from the *** stating we have been failing to make our payments. An email was sent by us to *********** on 7/28/21 informing *********** of this new letter for the ***. Lou asked us to send the letter to him which we did and not make any payments to the ***. We had no more communication from him after this. We have since received 2 more failure to pay letters from the *** the last one stating they will seize our property. We have made many attempts to contact greenlaw tax with no communication, being placed on hold for 30 minutes, stating they can't hear us or hanging up.Docs attached.

Business Response /* (1000, 13, 2022/05/12) */ Please be advised that we have spoken with******* regarding *****'s case directly, we addressed concerns, went over the case and have been moving forward with the case process. Thank You Consumer Response /* (3000, 15, 2022/05/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have had NO contact from anyone at this organization since October 28, 2021. Below is their last communication with me after I requested proof of the services they have claimed to have done. Email sent from them on October 28, 2021 following a phone conversation I had with one of their employees: "***********, As discussed with the attorney earlier today, the petition was submitted to the ***. Thank you, This is my response to them on November 1, 2021 "*****, I received your updated email on October 28th that you have filed a petition for our case to the ***. Thank you for that follow up, however I have requested proof of this transaction outside of just an email and have not received any communication back. I am needing a copy of any documentation showing what work you have done up until this point as an email does not provide me with any official documentation that steps are being taken. In addition to this I am also needing some kind of receipt or contract showing that your company received our payment of $****** as well as what services have been completed since receiving payment in May of 2021. We have been told by the *** that an attempt to file our 2020 taxes was made but rejected by the ***, we are unsure what this means and again have not received any official documentation from anyone at Greenlaw Tax that you have completed any services. I am very concerned with the way in which things have been handled up to this point and continue to be concerned for your lack of communication and official documentation being provided to us. I will be looking for the requested documentation as soon as possible. I have also forwarded a copy of this email to my attorney as well. You may call me directly at ************ with any questions. Thank you." Following this email I sent on November 1, 2021 I never heard from anyone at Greenlaw Tax Group and we have yet to receive any communication via, phone, mail, email or otherwise from Greenlaw Tax or the ***. We are still requesting a full refund for services we paid to Greenlaw Tax that were not performed. After contacting the *** directly they have confirmed that nothing has been filed on our families behalf by this organization so this last communication from them was also untruthful. They stole our money and lied about their services, that has become blatantly obvious. No, I do not accept their response to my complaint and I can imagine they have stolen from many unknowing consumers with this scam. I would like to see them shut down and a full refund given. I have attached the emails I am referring to in this document for reference and proof of this communication. Business Response /* (4000, 17, 2022/05/24) */ We will be reaching out to **************** directly regarding the case and concerns. Thank You

I have been filing complaints with the BBB for several months about Greenlaw Tax Group. I spoke with a representative - ****** D. last Friday, October 15th 2021 to once again (after numerours attempts to get answers via email and phone) request help with my tax debt which is why I hired them. As October 15th was the tax deadline, I had been continually concerned that nothing had been filed on my behalf with the IRS and I received a certified letter about paying my installment agreement or face a tax lien. When I called Greenlaw Tax I was told not to worry about that, that the certified letter was just standard protocol from the IRS. When I spoke with ****** D. he told me I should continue to pay my installment agreement, this after I was told repeatedly NOT TO pay the installment. After a long day on the telephone with Greenlaw on October 15th, ****** and agreed to sever our agreement since my case to quote ****** D. "slipped through the cracks." Now I have been trying to get the $**** we paid Greenlaw Tax. We paid $**** and borrowed $ **** from Greenlaws loan company "FWA" at %44 interest. We never received the $**** from FWA, it was sent to Greenlaw Tax and we have been making payments since June 2021 and are being charged interest on this money. As of today II have only been offered $**** from Greenlaw. The first offer was for $****. I refused both. I was able to log onto IRS and update my payments to avoid a lien. Now I owe approximately $****** to the IRS and have lost $**** to this firm that was supposed to help.

I paid $**** for state and federal taxes to be sorted out. I am kept on hold for 2 to 3 hours. No one gives a straight answer yesterday was was given a document to sign, this company wanted me to pay them more than $****** dollars in addition to the $****. When I demanded an explanation what the money was for **** ****** had an attitude. I told him I had asked if there was any additional fees apart from the $**** dollars when I had signed in and I was told the $**** was it and no additional fees will be charged today when I asked Mr. ****** if the $****** was for the company or IRS he kept changing the story. I demanded a refund because I had only signed up with them a few days ago. No one gives a straight answer around here. Mr ****** even made fun of my high blood pressure. These place should be shut down. I need a full refund no one from this firm has contacted the irs.

Mr. *****, This letter is my formal complaint against your company. Since November, 2020 I have paid $********  and received no service for these payments. I was promised immediate contact with *** to stop any penalties, and your firm would begin working to resolve my tax issues that day, and yet NOTHING has been done. In fact, I am currently receiving demands to pay *** or face a lien.  As you recall, I am a widow on a fixed income trying to get my issues with the *** resolved.  Your company has been given more than ample time for what would be considered typical services for this amount.  I am demanding you not withdraw another penny from my account and return the $******** within the next 10 days. I will file a complaint with the **************************** office and with the ********************** if I am not satisfied with this resolution by October 1, 2021. I await your check.  Yours Truly, ***************************************************************
