Nov 28, 2022: my roof was leaking. I called ************************* to report the leaking roof and paid $125 for the deductible. A week later, ************************* sent 619 Roofing to estimate the roof repair, which was $2,100. The insurance covered $1,500, and I agreed to pay the remaining balance of $475. The contract agreement stated the repair area to be 3 x 10 ft and to replace the 2nd metal flashing steps attached to the wall stucco.Dec 20, 2022: 619 Roofing came to do the job and finished the same day.Dec 21, 2022: I checked the roof and discovered:1. The 2nd metal flashing was not replaced with a new metal flashing.2. The roof tile seams were not closed, leaving large gaps between each roof tile.3. 3 roof tiles were replaced with black roof tiles, which is the wrong color (original roof tile color is red).4. The mortar cement applied was not smooth, has many cracks in it, and is crumbling, leaving holes in the corners of the mortar cement.5. There are large lumps of caulk everywhere on top of the roof tiles.I called ************************* to report the roof damages and requested for 619 Roofing to re-do the work correctly.A week later, a roofer from 619 Roofing came to inspect the roof and agreed it was a bad job. He offered to reduce the deductible. I told him I had to contact the property owner first. The next morning, I took photos of the roof damages. I called ************************* to request 619 Roofing to fix their work and sent the insurance company 16 photos of the roof damages. However, 619 Roofing doesn't want to fix the roof and say the condition of the roof is normal. The contract agreement was for a deductible of $475 but because the work was done poorly, 619 Roofing reduced the deductible without my permission $75 off to $400.Feb 8, 2023: I received a certified letter from 619 Roofing for a Notice of Intent to Lien.Mar 11, 2023: I sent a request for an investigation of 619 Roofing to the Contractors ********************Business response

On November 28th, 2022, we were contracted by American Home Shield (AHS) and the homeowner to complete a tile roof repair (see contract attached). AHS is a home warranty company that administers and approves home repairs.
On December 23rd, 2022, the tile roof repair was completed. The total contract price was $2,100 which $1,625 was covered by AHS. We directly invoiced the homeowner a total of $475. On January 4th, 2023, Le Nga called in to complain about the tile color of her roof. I arrived onsite the same day and explained to her that we couldnt guarantee an exact color match of her roof tiles when we repaired them. She went on to say that she would paint them on her own time. I further explained by her doing that she would void the warranty if she broke any tiles or caused any roof tiles to slip.
The next day Le Nga called in again and said she talked to her neighbor and now is stating we didnt install the roof correctly. I explained in detail how the repair was completed and waterproofed. At this time, I offered her a $100 discount, which she refused to accept. I reiterated that we would not be repairing the roof again due to nonpayment and her false allegations about the roof not being waterproof. Since the time of the repair, we have had three heavy rain storms in **********, and the repair has not leaked.
We filed a preliminary notice against the property due to nonpayment and have advised Le Nga we will be filing a lien against the property. However, a violation does not exist, as we have done everything to satisfy the homeowner.Initial Complaint

619 Roofing was dispatched to my house on 11/15/2022 to address a roof leak. They were dispatched by my ********************** Homeguard. Homeguard is still reviewing my claim.Regardless, 619 Roofing is refusing to provide me the proposal and the report about what is wrong with the roof on my home. Regardless of Homeguard's determination made, I still need it for my records.Business response
