      619 Roofing's negligence caused millions of dollars in damages and left 5 families homeless for the holidays. 619 Roofing was hired to replace the shingles of several townhouses in ******************* in *********. The crew was sloppy, dangerous, and negligent. With the biggest storm of the year was coming, they left the shingles off the roof and covered it with a flimsy plastic painter's tarp. That weekend, the roof leaked untold gallons of water, until the ceilings of several units collapsed. Several tenants called 619 Roofing's supposed **** hotline, but it was not staffed. The slowly unfolding disaster continued over 24 hours until 619 Roofing arrived late on Monday morning, oblivious to the damage they'd caused. Once they saw the liability, they sent their crew in and tore out the ceilings and dry wall -- but without doing the proper testing first. Hence, they improperly disposed of Asbestos, contaminating the building and compounding the damage they caused. The water is in all the walls and multiple townhouses will have to be condemned and torn down to the studs. ********************* won't pay because it was 619 Roofing's negligence that was at fault, and 619 Roofing's insurance has been dragging their feet more than 3 weeks, ghosting the families who are out-of-pocket thousands of dollars in expenses to avoid homelessness after the destruction caused by 619 Roofing's unprofessional and dangerous workmanship. If you value your sanity and your bank account, you will hire ANYONE else other than 619 Roofing. They will destroy your home. They destroyed ours.

      Based on the timeline, 619 Roofing was out to the property within 30 minutes of the call from the property manager on Monday, December 12th, 2022. The *** manager's internet was down over the weekend, and she received information about the leak on Monday morning when she called 619Roofing to respond to the incident. We did receive one call from your unit, a number unknown to us at the time, to our 24/7 service line but no voice or text message was left. Our voice messages recorded on that 24/7 line are transcribed into an email format and sent to multiple employees at 619roofing so we can respond to calls. You informed us that you called the 24/7 homeowner association hotline and they said it was too dangerous to send a roofer out to the property. The homeowner association hotline should have informed 619Roofing of the call. Instead, they sent a message to the homeowner association manager.The roof was tarped with multiple tarps that weekend. Rain and wind were a factor in water intruding into the building. Unfortunately, this was a series of events that led to property damage. 619 Roofing insurance was called on December 12th, 2022, to report the claim while the superintendent was on-site. We had to wait two days to be assigned to a claims adjuster who passed away, and the claim was in limbo for two weeks while the file was transferred to another adjuster. The new adjuster has asked us to direct any questions regarding this claim to our representative. She has been in contact with you and the property owner and hopes to settle the claim as soon as possible.

      The tarp was a thin plastic painter's sheet, not even waterproof consumer grade from *********** The proof is in the flooding and I can upload more photos. If you stand behind the quality of the tarping, and that is your usual business practice, let the buyer beware because this massive disaster will happen again if 619 doesn't learn a ****** about how to hire and monitor their workforce to ensure safety standards and good building practices are followed. (Tearing down the ceiling and not testing for asbestos, which subsequently contaminated the job site and all our possessions, is another example of how unprofessional this workforce is and how basic construction standards were not followed.Multiple people tried to alert 619 on the 24/7 line. You admitted to me that it was a mistake and you fired the 24/7 line because of this disaster. This long and tedious response never addresses the fundamental fact that you were unresponsive for more than 24 hours and refused to come out on the weekend because it was "dangerous" for them to be on the roof in the rain. My ceilings collapsed and spread asbestos throughout my home. That was extremely dangerous and I never signed up to be a roofer. Your negligence put me and my family in danger. We won't know if we have health consequences for several decades, but now we have to worry about our exposure to asbestos because of you and your crew.I received absolutely no help or compensation from 619, which has been obstinate, hid behind insurance, and even actively shooed away the person who did show up to help us. The only help I received was from my private insurance. Several other families were not so lucky, and are displaced and out money with no hope of recourse. Because of you we had nowhere to live, were forced to vacate because of the damage and contamination, and you did nothing to help -- not an offer of a hotel, no kind of compensation to keep us going with $6,500 in unexpected expenses in Airbnb because you destroyed our home and refused to take any responsibility. I have records and would gladly testify under oath to the timeline, with evidence including all of your correspondences. We also have additional witnesses from multiple families who would confirm this story and their shoddy treatment by 619Roofing.In light of this response -- which is now denying responsibility, even though you previously admitted mistakes -- I will provide additional photos and evidence on this website and others. I wish you put half as much effort into the roofing project, and into repairing the damages you caused in a timely manner, that you put into this response, which is clearly meant to CYA. You should be ashamed.

      In response to the lie above about us not leaving a message on the answering machine:According to our ******* phone log, on Sunday, December 11, 2022 my fiance called 619 Roofing's emergency line, ************ at 12:32pm and left a 2 minute voice message. The message she left said that she was a resident of ************************ and that 619 Roofing was contracted by the *** to do the roofing work on our townhouse and that our roof was currently leaking and that our ceiling was on the verge of collapse.I requested someone come out immediately for the emergency to prevent catastrophic collapse. No one came out or responded in any way to the phone call to the emergency line until after 10 am the next morning, almost 24 hours after the call reporting imminent collapse.619 Roofing was made fully aware of this situation on Sunday, December 11th. We did everything we were advised to do in the event of a catastrophe, and 619 Roofing did not respond. We are happy to provide additional records, photographic evidence, and multiple witnesses (at least 3 neighbors who were similarly affected by this negligence) to clearly prove who is telling the truth and who is lying.
