  Blood work was kept from me till after my visit and service. They gave me a hormone pallet replacement injection and stated I was a candidate due to my low counts of hormones and my thyroid not functioning properly. My primary doctor did my blood work, and my history shows no issue with my thyroid and hormones. I was only deficient in Vitam ** They prescribed my thyroid medication and hormone medication that I did not need. I called to tell them this, and they refused to give me a partial refund of the next unapparent I canceled.My primary doctor stated that taking meds that I do not need can actually cause me health issues. So, I stopped taking them.

  Hello, thank you for letting me know this patients concerns.

  She was seen on 1/4 and sought out our office to be treated for Hormone Replacement Therapy with estradiol and testosterone to assist with energy, mood, low libido, hot flashes, and weight gain .  She had her consultation and lab draw performed the same day.  She was charged $250.  Once her lab results were completed, our RN spoke to her about her results and what we would recommend for hormone replacement on 1/9.  ******** showed below normal Vit D and very low testosterone levels.  After the phone conversation the patient chose to schedule the *** pellet procedure on 1/10.  On 1/10, the patient received her pellet procedure and bought vitamin replacement for her low Vit D levels. $450/$126. She also chose to pay for her post pellet labs that were set to be drawn on 2/21. $75. When treating patients with low energy a low dose thyroid medication can assist with energry levels.  Patients can chose to do the hormone therapy in isolation and/or to start a bio-identical thyroid supplement.  We prescribe low dose thyroid supplementation through the patients pharmacy when desired. Yesterday, the patient contacted our office for a refund and our office manager attempted to return her call today to initiate the refund for the services she has not received.  ($75)

  Bio-identical and hormone therapy is a well established peer reviewed medical treatment.  The client received the services and products she requested.

   I am rejecting this response because: I was not low in any other area but vitamins that could easily have been taken with hormones.my primary doctor was concerned on what I was given and prescribed. In addition they asked me to pay ahead of time for blood work. I am not excepting this response. They did return my $75 dollars I would like a full refund.

  Thank you for voicing your concern.

  Unfortunately, all services have been provided.  We agreed and refunded the portion not received (the labs.)

  Education regarding the services you sought out from us was provided prior to treatment and there was a time interval for consideration between education and the treatment.  Hormone replacement therapy is a specialized field and not all physicians provide this medical treatment or feel comfortable providing it to their patients. However, there is strong evidence in support of the care we provided.
