** is very sweet and interesting to talk to but I feel violated and angry after going to her. I appreciate that she was able to get me in very quickly. However, I know my hair and what kind of cuts work. My hair is straight but gets very frizzy with certain types of layering. I made it clear several times I only wanted a basic trim and I asked her not to take much off. I have spent years growing it out. She took a huge chunk off the front and it doesn't blend well with the back. (Think, a bad version of "The ******"). She took half the length I had off the front and left all the length in the back. I feel like I have a very long, lopsided mullet. The layers are jagged and were frizzy the moment I stepped outside. I am not happy with it and will not be going back. This is going to take me a year to grow back to get to the length I want and I am feeling pretty upset. I thought I was pretty clear about what I wanted and I feel like she did what she wanted. She charges way more than the going rate for a trim. She said she would just charge me $70, but when she handed me the receipt she had charged me $78. Now, I am going to have to pay double because I need to go to a hairdresser who can fix what she did to my head. Basically, I am going to have to cut off several years of growth to even out the jagged, uneven disaster that she calls "layers." Did I mention that she barely touched the left side of my hair? So the right is basically this weird rat's nest and the left is mostly untouched. She kept telling me how good it looked. Also, she kept telling me that I "need to highlight my hair to cover the greys." She said it probably five times even though I was clear I didn't want that. I don't even have that much grey! She kept saying, "what will your mom think?!? She want you to cover this up!" She doesn't know my mom! What a weird thing to say.
