I opened Humboldt's Merchant Acct. on 11/2021 since that time I have moved out of state therefore, Humboldt acct. was closed 11/8/23. In 01/2024 I began corresponding with Humboldt by phone, email, and letter requesting a release of funds. 04/23/24 I was advised by Humboldt Services the company had the right to keep my funds on hold for 270 days and at this time request for a release is not eligible. It also stated this account will be eligible for release on or after 08/04/24. Attached were October-December 2023 statements and deposit, processing fees, and Reserved balances.06/09/24 I received a form letter from the Dir. of Risk/Underwriting stating that they were now prepared to return the reserve amound into the merchant deposit account previously designated by the merchant for transaction settlement, however because I had advised them that the deposit acct. was now closed due to the fact "the merchant no longer conducts business and has been dissolved." You have requested us to ACH transfer the Reserve amount to your personal deposit checking acct. I acknowledged that the forgoing statements were TRUE, SIGNED, DATED the form and returned it immediately.July *****, 2024 I received confirmation that all the required documents faxed to Humboldt had been received and forwarded to MANAGEMENT. Since July-August 2024 I have called customer service/risk management daily, asking for updates on the release. I have ask to speak to a manager or a supervisor. The answer is there is none available or they are not here because they all work from home. I tried contacting management at the headquarters listed on BBB page. ********************************* You are directed back to customer service #**********. I tried contacting the President of Humboldt: *************************, Gen. ******** ***********************, VP Oper. *******************, etc, etc. etc. It's not hard to identify a Bad Business SCAM when you request money to be release from Humboldt Merchant Services.

On 7/31/2023 our company closed down 2 merchant account with HMBS. Per the agreement, there can be a hold period of those reserves up to 270 days before those reserves are released. On 5/28/2024, my company AJH *********** LLC had started the process of dissolving and we requested the reserves to be released. We filled out all of the paperwork that both the *************************** and ************************** requested and submitted to documentation needed by 5/29/24. I was then told that "management" needed to review the requests. I was not given any sort of time frame on when this process would be completed, so I proceeded to follow up every week. On Jun 3rd, I was once again told that it was "still being reviews". On June 12th, I was then told that ************** needed to review the request. I sent a follow up directly with ***** at this point. I was then told on June 18th that there was an additional document that I needed to review and sign which was promptly returned on the 18th.I have follow up every week since then and am continually told that "management needs to review everything " At this point, customer service continues to tell me the same story and ***** will not follow up with my emails. I am happy to provide all of my correspondence in order to get a resolution on my account as I don't understand why this process is taking as long as it is. Also, cost to me of this not being resolved at current FED funds rates is about $175/month. I started this process back in May and it should not be my part time job to continually need to follow up on an account that has been closed for nearly a year.

Humboldt Merchant Services (HMS) is the biggest scam bank in the entire merchant processing industry. Read this before you even think about having them process your credit cards!!!I opened a merchant account with them about 2.5 years ago. I would guess it was fall of 2019.At the time business was ok. However COVID hit in March 2020 and it ruined everything for my business as it did so many others. Business was slow... Without any written or email notice whatsoever Humboldt Merchant Services (HMS) started stealing money from my business bank account in September 2020 because I was not hitting their "minimum" processing about. This is total BS as I would have just closed the account then. However, I had several merchant accounts tied to the bank account, and some of my other businesses were doing ok. So I did not notice they their debits to my account every month for the merchant account with them. They varied every month, but were between $700 - $1000 EVERY MONTH in additional fees!!!!!Note, at the time I was only processing about $1000 per month with HMS so I was ACTUALLY LOSING MONEY EVERY MONTH AS A RESULT after product costs, returns, refunds, etc. This went on for 15 MONTHS!In total they stole approximately $11,000 - $13,000 from my bank account over 15 months causing me to almost go bankrupt now.I hope this will get their attention so that I don't have to file this with the attorney general, FTC, and then take them to court. But I am ready. What they did is illegal and morally as wrong as it gets.My agent was not notified, I was not notified... and the debits just began and continued for 15 months. When we brought this incident to the attention of HMS, they refunded the most recent month, getting me back about $750 of the $11,000 - $13,000 they stole. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HMS (Humboldt Merchant Services). They are shady crooks, that will steal your money and they belong in jail.I hope this saves you all the trouble it has caused me!
