I requested a service call from Prime Appliance Repair and asked for a call from *********** man before attending at my house as I was trying to get same day service. This morning I arrived home and found a service person on my porch. He had not called before leaving as requested. He told me he could not leave until he was paid or authorized to leave. I contacted the office and the attendant acknowledged he had made a mistake and had not noted the call was required. Nonetheless he told me I would be billed for the service call. The person never came into my home or examined my appliance. I was not told that if they showed up my house anyway, K would be improperly billed. This seems like a scam tactic to me and the consequences are collections for a service not provided and an error made by the attendant. Please can you help?Business response

Prime Appliance Repair was assigned to handle the repair of our Bosch Dryer by American Home Shield. On 10/14/21 Prime sent out a repairman (***) to handle our repair. The repairman said he needed to order parts to complete the repair. The same repairman came back to our home on 10/29/21 with the parts. After considerable time in our home the repairman said the dryer was not repairable. During the process of attempting to repair the dryer there was damage to our rug (melting) from some heat source the repair man was using. The repairman had not put down anything to protect the rug. We ended up having to buy a new dryer. We contacted Prime multiple times, spoke with "****", and were told numerous times that "*********" would call us back. We even followed "Rome's" directions for filing a claim, including photos of the damaged rug. We researched replacement rugs and determined that $200 would cover the cost of the purchase and shipping of the rug. We have submitted this all in writing to Prime Appliance, and still have not had any of our calls returned.Business response

Hi Team,
According to **************, he can't remember that he used any tools that can be a source of heat and can melt plastic or fabric. Please see the attached photos. The damaged part as pointed out by the client is at the opposite side where the dryer was standing. The original rug was already in bad condition when ************** first attended and the client bought a new one which is obviously not the same as the original item. Anyway, we've discussed this with the management team and decided to just reimburse the amount requested by the client which is $200. We'll reach out to the customer directly so that we can close this issue.
