9/1/23 at 3:22 a.m. Wap Recovery **** tow driver forcibly entered through a gated community in the *************************** at the intersection of ************/*********************** (**********, ** *****) to tow a vehicle without authorization to do so beforehand. A repossession licensee or its agent has the authority to repossess a vehicle in public areas with no restricted access. A repossession licensee or its agent DOES NOT have the authority to enter a private building or a secured area without the consent of the property owner or the person in lawful control of the private property to repossess a vehicle. A secured area means any place that is fenced and locked. For example, a gated community. Wap Recovery Should #1) Contact the security vendor if they need entrance to our homeowners association by calling dispatch if it's after hours (signs are all posted at the gates), or contact HOA management at ************ or ************ to request authorization (during normal business hours. Wap Recovery also owes the Association a reimbursement payment of $205.00 for the gate vendor which had to be contacted to investigate any damages after this incident occurred.
