The Roofing Company took on the job to replace the roof on a home we were in the process of purchasing in mid February 2024. Initial engagement with **** was professional and pleasant, always answering texts promptly, etc. As work neared completion, I noticed that one of the downspouts needed installation. I brought this up to ****, he said he'd be back that weekend to complete. That did not happen. When the city inspector came by a few days later, the inspector brought up that the cut wood to accommodate the new gutters needed painting and **** said he would take care of that as well, but that did not happen either. From February 26th through yesterday, March 8th I have lost all communication with ****. His last response was saying he was going to be out to finish the work, which did not happen. Yesterday, March 8th as I was working in the house and entered the attic, I noticed a broken rafter! During our initial talks **** and company were approved for any overages to replace damaged pieces to complete the work. It is noticeable from inside the attic as well as from the street. This broken rafter is allowing the roof to sag and needs to be fixed to avoid future damage. What started out as a pleasant working relationship soured due to ***** lack of response and ownership of completing the job. We are looking for the downspout to be installed, paint applied to exposed wood and broken rafter to be fixed. **** has been paid a good amount of money for this job, but seems to not stand for workmanship and responsibility.Business response

I have reached out via email to homeowner Onedin to schedule to install last down spout and touch up paint to ends of rafter tails for this week per agreement.
This home is over 100 years old, a sag in roof structure is common for a home this old. we were unaware there is a broken rafter. All additional charges for dry rot repairs were billed out Time/Material cost, thus he has not been charged to repair broken rafter. I have offered to repair broken rafter for additional charge of Time/Materials via email. I am waiting for homeowners' response.

************* installed a 30 year roof a few years ago and I have contacted him both through voicemail and email about a shingle that became dislodged. He responded last week that he would send someone over early this week ( week of sept 10th) to repair the shingle his company placed. Ive contacted him again to get this resolved and he will not respond on his cell phone ************ or office ************ or email *************************************** I need your help to get the company to repair the roof they installed. During installation he was very responsive. However, now that he has been paid he is not following through with his guarantee of workmanship.The money I paid his company the Roofing company916) is an approximate amount.
