We moved into our apartment complex in August 2023. When we moved in, we noticed the place had not been thoroughly cleaned. There were maggots and mold in the oven drawer, pet hair in the ice dispenser, and other spots/stains throughout the apartment. On September 14, we sent our management an email with photo evidence, and in their response they stated that they would reimburse us the cleaning fee of $120 as we had to deep clean the apartment ourselves, and that they would have maintenance change out the appliances. They finally replaced the oven on October 30th, after many weeks of continuing to email them about it (they never replaced the refrigerator). We still have not received the cleaning reimbursement that they stated we would receive, and it has been over nine months. Every time we follow up about it, they give us the runaround and say they need to check with other people. I understand it is not a lot of money, but they already agreed to reimburse us this amount. In fact, upon speaking with a different management person, they agreed that the cleaning reimbursement should actually be closer to $200-300, however I understand that thats not what they put in writing. I just want them to follow through with what they said, as we had to go months living in the health hazard.
