We purchased our new home from Elliott in **** and began having plumbing leaks, due to defective Pex plumbing installed, withi the first 3 years. To date, we have had at least *************************** our home, causing extensive damage. Elliott initially repaired some of the leaks, but would not repipe our home. We recently had two leaks within the past year and Elliott is refusing to assist with repairs.Business response

We have completed our investigation of Complaint ID #********, the results of which are stated as follows:
Our records show this home closed escrow on 11/22/2002. No defective pipe was installed into this home as only quality products that meet or exceed industry standards are used in the construction of all our homes. Further, Elliott Homes provides a 1-year fit and finish warranty on every home sold and all information regarding that warranty is discussed with and provided to the homebuyers at the time of sale. According to our warranty service records, the first instance of a plumbing leak (not a burst pipe) was reported to us on 9/15/2010, eight years past the 1-year fit and finish warranty period. Although we were not required to do so, and as a courtesy to our homeowners, we did go out to the residence and complete the requested repair. During the ensuing 10 years, four more plumbing leaks (not burst pipes) were reported, three of which occurred long after the 10-year structural warranty on the home had expired. In every instance, and as a courtesy to our homeowners, we repaired these leaks. Elliott Homes has gone above and beyond what was required of us in an attempt to satisfy the homeowners however, as this home is now nearly 20 years old and well beyond all warranty periods, no further repairs will be performed on this home.*******************
