    I scheduled with MBC to perform BPD DS procedure as a revision from VSG (which was performed in the **). I was scheduled for January 19, 2024 with Dr. ************************************** I requested BPD DS. The paperwork listed BPD DS. I had requested a surgery report prior to the procedure for my records. The header on this report listed BPD DS. The procedure described was not BPD DS, but instead another procedure, namely that of SADI-S. On May 24, 2024, after 5 weeks of me aggressively seeking clarification, the surgeon confirmed the procedure as SADI-s, and not BPD DS. I was never informed the different procedure was performed. It was never discussed as an option for me. I was not told it was performed and I have no medical basis for it occurring. These procedures are different. MBCs own website offers details regarding the differences. I deliberately sought BPD DS for my unique medical condition. Resolution for this situation is for MBC to deliver on the service of providing me with the medical care requested, paid for, and not performed. I am asking for the correct procedure, that of BPD DS, at no additional cost to me.

    I was there May 2024 for a *** Duodenal switch with **********************. My mother had a great time there getting her sleeve and I trusted that I would have a similar experience, this was unfortunately far from what happened. The check in process was smooth, and the hotel was nice, but my nightmare began at the hospital after my procedure. The nurses were inattentive and post-op pain management was far from ideal. I quite literally have seen dogs receive better care. My IV site developed thrombophlebitis and not a single nurse listened to my concerns. They instead left me in pain. My surgeon only spoke to me immediately before surgery to ask if I had any questions, at the time, I had none as I had done extensive research on my procedure. Immediately post-op, my care was transferred to another physician who told me that there were no complications and my surgery went as planned. Nothing to worry about then, right? Wrong. On the day of my discharge, I saw someone post that instead of their *** procedure, the doctor had performed a **** procedure. As my surgeon hadnt checked in with me regarding the surgery, I demanded to know that **** procedure had been performed. MBC had my aftercare doctor call me, and she confirmed the **** procedure instead of the *** I had researched. You can imagine the stress of finding out that the procedure you saved up for and planned for was incorrect. The surgeon came to speak with me after I demanded to speak with him (and after several hours). He said that my duodenum was too short for the ***, which is understandable, however he said my duodenum was 3cm, which is impossible. He promised to send my medical records and op report but never did. They were not going to tell me that they did the ****. They intended to hide it. Everyone from MBC has been hostile from the start about this entire ordeal and blocked me from posting on their social media from sharing my experience (on a page not affiliated with them in any way).
