My wife purchased this radio for me on my birthday because I enjoy good clear radio and also wanted a safety weather band. It works for several years and then stop working could not change channels time or anything called company and they said that it is a main board replacement which was almost the price of a new one. This radio did not last you pay a lot of money to get a radio that you're confident in and will last. I never moved it it was in the same spot for years it just stopped working. I would not pay the money for this product because they don't stand behind their product without spending a lot of money to fix it. Do not recommend this product even though when it worked it was great but customer service is poor.Business response

I apologize for the delay in responding. Our email system had unfortunately flagged these emails as spam and they were not being delivered and since no hard copy was being mailed, we didn't know this was received.
I searched our current system and could find no record of a purchase. Our current system holds approximately three years worth of sales history. Our former system is no longer available so that is as far back as I can verify. We offer a 60 day satisfaction guarantee and a 1 year limited parts and labor warranty on almost all of our products and we try to be very generous with this time frame as long as the radio is in good condition. This warranty is clearly stated in the catalog, on our website and everywhere the products are sold. That said, we can't warrant products that are used frequently (often daily throughout the day) for unreasonable periods of time. I noticed that the customer mentioned the radio was several years old. Not knowing what model this is or finding any correspondence to reference, I was unable to go much further. There have been times where the only issue is the lock switch has accidentally been activated and perhaps that was already looked at and determined not to be the issue.
We try to be reasonable people and take care of customers the best we can. We do have many, many radios that are in operation over 20 years. Even with the utmost care, buttons wear out from being pushed. Oils and lotions from fingers, dust, etc. can get into products and they have to be either repaired or replaced. Our repair costs have increased because the cost of everything including the parts (at least the ones we can still get) and shipping have increased.
Without more details and seeing the actual condition and age of the radio I'm not sure there's much else I can offer.
