I made a move from ********* ********** to ********* ********** over the Thanksgiving weekend. My lease started in November in **. I had to return to ********* for a month to finish out my work and ********* apartment committments. I made my final move to ********* over the Christmas weekend and arrived December 22, 2023. I immediately began to unpack. Once I completed looking at my boxes, I discovered and entire box was missing containing most of my outer ware.I lost the following: 1.one pink ***** jacket, (waist length) **** ****** $200.00 2.One brown ***** jacket, (waist length) Chicos $250.00 3.one coral ***** jacket with eyelet decorative trimming, (waist length) - $250.00 4.one green, blue ***** jacket, (waist length) - $169.00 5.one burgundy ***** jacket, (waist length) - $169.00 6.one burnt orange ***** jacket, (waist length) - $169.00 7.one blue **** jacket, covered in decorative (fake) pearls (waist length) - $169.00 8.one black wind breaker jacket with Hawaiian flower design - $110.00 9.one light blue wind breaker - $149.00 10.one beige rain coat (knee length) - $200.00 11.************ rain poncho style jacket - $50.00 12.Purple puffer vest - $179.00 13.************ puffer jacket (mid calf length) - $200.00 14.one red felt winter coat, (knee length) - $250.00 When I went back to the moving company, they told me that by paying my movers at the time of delivery, I was acknowledging they had delivered everything. I stated that there was no way to go through all the boxes to determine this. He asked for an inventory and when I asked today when I would be hearing back, his claim is that they have film and cameras and GPS to show nothing was displaced. They are denying any responsibility. I, in good faith thought there was insurance in place. He said it is only for weight and they are not responsible.Initial Complaint

I hired Zapt Movers to moved my apartment on Saturday, February 25, 2023. The movers arrived. They opened an armoire and stole my watches and necklaces out of the armoire and locked it back and wrapped it up and moved that with the rest of my things. I opened my armoire and noticed the theft a few days later as i am still unpacking. I informed **** and they said it was probably someone else. I was not in the bedroom when they were moving the items out of the bedroom due to the small space. **** says the young men said they were watched the whole time. That is a lie. I live alone. Zapt chooses to say it was someone else. They will do no further investigation. They need to be stopped - they have no right being in unsuspecting homes to steal from people.Customer response

I have just located the missing box of jewelry. Please remove my complaint against Zapt Movers, and accept my apology for the confusion. I have retracted my Yelp review and will call them in the morning to apologize for all the confusion.

The movers stole a piece of my jewelry during the move. This company has been atrocious to deal with in the recovery / insurance process of it all. They insist the ring wasn't stolen because they 'asked the movers' and no one said they took it. I'm sorry who is going to admit to their employer they robbed a client? They refuse to connect me with the insurance company directly, and they won't accept a verified appraisal for the ring which doesn't have a "model number" or receipt because it was custom made and a gift from the jeweler who made it. The move was fine, but if they steal from you don't expect to recover anything.
