On August 25, 2022 I contacted my home insurance American home shield. They hired indoor quality service. They came to my home around August 28. I was told that my air conditioning coil needed to be replace the replacement with them on October 5 however they came back on October 11 to complete the job since they didn’t have the correct parts the first week of November I turn on my heater, without knowing that they had left one of the pipes not connected to the furnace therefore, there was a water leak in my attic. I contacted American home shield because I thought it was a pipe that burst they sent another agency. Upon the new person coming in, I was told that they had left one of the pipes disconnected. He advised me that I need to call back who had originally fix my coil. I called back in or quality they came back. I requested that the owner should be here so he can see what a mess his staff had left but once they came back, they replaced it but there was no damage in my attic and the water went through my ceiling. Therefore I’m asking for David the owner of indoor quality to fix the problem in the ceiling . When I met with him, he agreed to fix my ceiling however, three months I pass by and I still haven’t heard from him, and my ceiling is not repaired..

We installed an evaporator coil. We did not install the condensing furnace.

The assertion that a drain line was left disconnected is false. The water leak was from the condensing furnace.

As of our last conversation with this customer in December. Present were the homeowner, myself, one of my employees, and the building inspector from the city of Fresno.

The original installing contractor failed to install a “required secondary pan” under the condensing furnace. When the furnace leaked, there was no secondary means of protection, this allowed condensation to leak onto the ceiling. As explained by the building inspector, the secondary pan is required by code.

Our suggestion was the homeowner should contact the original contractor so they can install the required secondary pan and correct their install. After the corrections, we could move forward with any corrections on our part.

We also gave the homeowner the option, through their home warranty company, pricing for IQS to make the needed corrections.

We haven’t heard back from the homeowner regarding either option until this BBB complaint.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 188***20, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Yes, indoor quality has reach out to me, they came out and installed a bigger pan underneath the furnace. However, they have not fixed my ceiling where the water leak through the ceiling. I was told by indoor quality that they were going to send someone to fix that but I still haven’t heard from the contractor to fix my ceiling. Upon them fixing my ceiling, upon them, fixing my ceiling I would be fully satisfied.
