I went to Blackstone tire to get some new rims and tires, they then told me that I needed some other work done as well. I was not surprised by this as my truck is 25 years old. So, I agreed to the work, receipts I have still, they also put in a 2" lift kit and spacers on. The suggested work I had done was the ball joints. A few days later I went back in because my front end was still out of alignment, they told me then that I had needed some more work done the first time, but they thought that it could last at least a year before they felt I needed to replace it. I do not remember what it was at this time. So, I was upset that they didn't tell me this the first time I was in there, but I went ahead and took a trip over to Monterey to visit family. On my way back, going over Pacheco Pass, my front passenger wheel folded underneath the front end and I went skidding into the asfault, and steered it over to the hillside as best I could. I had to have my car towed home from there, as it was undrivable. That was, I believe, $722.00 for that trip. I did not take it back to Blackstone tire as now I felt taken advantage of and no longer felt I could trust them to do it right. So, I then towed it over to Electric Labs, where the repairs were done costing $2160.79, that included, brakes and rotors, spindle, wheel, front outer bearing, front inner bearing, alignment, fluid, new rim and tire. Which I feel, that if Blackstone Tire had been forthcoming and honest about what needed to be done repair wise with my truck the first time this could've been avoided. The tow truck driver said that I was extremely lucky, he said that usually when this happens people end up seriously hurt. And, I believe that people should be warned/discouraged from purchasing spacers for your wheels, because a few months ago I had to have the front end redone again because of the result of having the spacers put too much stress on the front lower control arms, and upper control arms.

I am rejecting this response because:

They should've kept a copy of the transactions in their computer.  They should also be using a more informative receipt for customers.  I did go their, and I sent pics to the BBB.

I had a leveling kit put on by company and they forgot to tighten the control arm bolts in the front end of my truck. The hotels came loose and caused damaged to my vehicle. My vehicle is at the Chevrolet dealer waiting to get repairs done. I went back to blackstone Tire to advise of issue and they denied the neglect of their work and said this was not their problem. I am requesting the company take responsibility of their work and pay for the damages. I have estimate of over $2800 so far

I am rejecting this response because:

      Hi ******

Thank you for sending this again since I did not get the first request.  I have a serious problem with this merchants response. Who  in their right mind is going to take their vehicle back to the dealer every 3000 miles to have your front end bolts tightened.  Additionally why would I install a kit if there is a safety measure.   This information was never disclosed before during or after installation of this leveling kit.  This merchant did not give me no paperwork or even a receipt for the purchase.   This merchant did not disclose to me there is a safety issue when installing a leveling kit to my vehicle.  I am very concerned he is doing this to other customers out there.
I did contact this merchant once the Chevrolet dealership told me the issue and damage was caused by the leveling kit, this merchant did not take responsibility for his work and has denied any faulty work. I had to file a clam with my insurance company to pay for the work from the damage. Chevrolet dealer did not advise the bolt from this kit needs to be tightened every 3000 miles.  So what does this merchant know more than a certified Chevy dealership.

I would like to have this claim reopened since I do not believe what this merchant is providing on this claim is correct and additionally none of this information has been disclosed to me.  Please let me know the next steps on this issue

      Thank you for ur time

      To whom it may concern:

***** ******** had a leveling kit installed on 06/18/2022 on a white 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 the merchandise was sold as described. Leveling kit was NOT defective in anyway. ***** never claimed it defective in any way. ***** did claim her truck broke down but never brought it in to us for inspection said the dealership blamed us for it and refused to send pictures or detailed reports of what broke down and why it broke down. ***** claimed her upper control arm was loose which was NOT any part we worked on. We only installed a leveling kit. The dealership would not give us any further information. ***** refused to provide any details and said to deal with her ins company. We have evidence in text message showing this statement which is attached. We tried reaching out to Tammy, but she never came in nor brought the vehicle for inspection. Damages to truck are not related to us in any way. We did NOT remove or loosen any part which ***** had claimed. We did not perform a repair job in any way. The card holder never attempted a return. All sales are final no refunds. Card holder did not cancel the services on 9/15/2022 this is a lie. Card holder did not and would not attempt to resolve. Card holder statement was “u can deal with my ins company now.” see the attached screen shot of the text message.

Thank you for sending this again since I did not get the first request.  I have a serious problem with this merchants response. Who  is going to take their vehicle back to the dealer every 3000 miles to have your front end ball joint bolts tightened.  If this is the case I would like to have a certified Chevrolet dealership to confirm this information before the final resolution is made to this claim. In the installation manual it states to tighten and torque down the bolts.  This merchant did not righty or torque the bolts down for the control arm in the front end of my truck.

When I had my vehicle at the dealership the owner from Blackstone tire went in person to the dealership to see the vehicle, I was told he was arguing with the dealership shop manager. Blackstone tire wanted the dealership to fix the work under the dealership warranty so he didn’t have to pay for the damage. I was also told he was cursing at the shop manager as well since the dealership denied his request to put the damage under warranty.   When I called Blackstone tire to discuss the damage he denied his work was faulty and would not accept responsibility for the work he did. I had to issue a claim with my insurance company for the damage to my vehicle.  I also had to pay out of pocket $50.00 for my deductible and another $250.00 for the rental car I had during the time my vehicle was getting fixed in addition to the $450.00 original cost for the leveling kit and installation.

Due to the issue I have had with this merchant I would like to request to have my money that I had to pay out of my pocket reimbursed.
This is a picture of when my front end bolts came loose from this leveling kit.  My tire literally popped and locked up.
