We purchased a metal building from Viking Manufacturing over one year ago. We expected to receive the building in May 2024. We attempted to check in that month - Viking would not return phone calls or emails. Finally got through to sales department, who in turn got a note to support to call us. After much back and forth, the president of the company finally emailed and stated they switched software systems and were "blind" to our order. He stated we would have the building at the end of July, he also said that there was a minor design issue that was holding things up as well - but not to worry. July came and went - no building - August we were routed to auto messaging replies. We did get a phone call from other staff indicating they were reaching out to the manufacturer, but the manufacturer was not providing an ***. Fast forward: We found out that Viking had not properly paid the manufacturer, so the building order was just sitting. We sent a demand letter. Finally got that straightened out and the manufacture fast tracked the building. We received on September 6, 2024 but the whole main frame of the building is incorrect. Viking re-engineered the building plans without our knowledge or issuing new building plans. Now we are stuck with the wrong building and the manufacturer will not correct this as it was Viking's error. The manufacturer will make us a whole new building for around ****** or sell us the correct parts for ****** and we try to sell the steel parts ourselves. If we try to modify the existing building we cannot get clearance from the County without the revised building plans - which Viking must send, but again Viking is missing in action. Please consider all the complaints against them before you get tangled up in a nightmare that just may ruin your business entirely.

I have had issues with missing pieces and cannot get a response for months. I paid for insulation on my building and it did not show up with the material delivery. After calling an emailing dozens of times it finally showed up. Now I had the installers come out to assemble the building only to tell me there are missing rolls of steel strapping for the "x bracing" which is on my plans sent to me by Viking and approved by my local county planning ***** Funny thing is the installer received a different set of plans than I and his plans did not have the x bracing on them. If these are not installed it wont pass inspection. Its going on almost a week now and I cannot get ahold of anyone from Viking nor have I gotten a response. I just want to get this issue resolved so I can have the installers come back out to assemble the building. Its getting extremely frustrating that I cannot get an answer on how and when I will get the missing pieces.

*********************************** entered into a contract with Viking Manufacturing to build a barn. We also had a contract for them to build the required cement pad for the structure. After we obtained the permit, we contacted them. It has now been over two months, and they have done nothing to move the project forward. They did raise the cost of the cement pad claiming that the cost increased due to the local provider. The problem with this is there is only one cement contractor in the county, and they have never heard of Viking Manufacturing. We have asked for a refund, and they have not responded. I told them that I would be filing this complaint if I did not hear from them by 1:00 today. No response. This complaint is being filed by ******************************* on behalf of my son ***. He is a 100% disabled veteran with two overseas tours. He cannot handle the stress of this situation and asked me to do this for him My number is ************ Thank you for assisting us in this matter.

On Feb 5th 2024 i signed an order for a metal building with Viking and I paid them approximately $8,400 as a deposit for a building that was quoted at $24,752.29, including installation and concrete. After I obtained my building permit at a cost pf over $1,000,, Viking put me in touch with their installer. The installation contractor immediately asked me the price i was quoted for the concrete. The installer told me if i wanted to proceed, the concrete portion of the quote would now be $16,900, rather than the $13,824 that was quoted. Not wanting further delays, i agreed to the additional $3,076. The revised contract was sent to me and i noted that it only included installation of 4 of the 7 windows. Upon reaching out to Viking they said the quote only included 3 windows, despite the clear renderings in the contract that show 7 windows. I pressed Viking to confirm there would be no additional extras. But i could not get Viking to inspect the building site and confirm the site met their installation requirements (being generally flat). Viking seems to want more money from me, but i am afraid that once i pay, they will hit me for additional expenses for the building pad preparation. I asked them for a refund and explained that i would be ok if they propose a partial refund that is equitable and covers their cost. They informed me today that they don't give refunds.

I I previously left a one star review of Viking Steel. However, within minutes of posting it, *************************** contacted me and threatened to withhold a forklift required for unloading the barn materials if I did not immediately change my review to five stars. He told me that he would otherwise charge me $1500 for the forklift, which I later learned would have cost me $257.I had very similar issues to those who left previous reviews. After signing the contract with Viking Steel, they completely changed their manufacturing process and the company that would supply the materials. This was after I had obtained permits for the building that should have been supplied by the first company. I was forced to call the county to obtain different permits and pay additional fees. I have received an incomplete set of materials that do not align with the building plans. No bolts were provided and the beams were the wrong size. The company that was supposed to install the barn stopped communicating with me after repeatedly putting off scheduling an installation date. ****** is extremely defensive and combative when contacted to fix these huge errors. He initially refused to speak with me at all and attempted to force me to use a messaging platform. He eventually passed me off to his wife ******* and refuses to speak with me. After several months of back and forth with his shady business practices, I still have a random, mismatched set of useless materials sitting on the concrete pad I had poured. At this point, I have been forced to hire my own contractor to complete the job because ****** will not return my calls. He takes no responsibility and has no accountability. He is by far the worse businessman *** ever worked with. It makes sense that he has been sued multiple times and lost. At this point ** surprised he hasnt faced criminal charges.I paid a $1000 deposit for *************************** to coordinate and schedule the installation of the barn. He kept the deposit and did not follow through.

I am the administrator/trustee of the Special Needs Trust of ***** *********. ***** made a purchase with Viking on a Carport to be manufactured. They told him the lead time to start building was several months away. I sent Viking the down payment of $2,238.67 on 4/15/22. ***** was unsatisfied with the loose ends of the contract, they would not give him an installation price. He asked ****** ******* on 4/27/22 to cancel the contract and ****** *******, who is the owner, agreed to cancel and send him a check since the work had not been started. I have all the text message correspondence between the two of them. Today ****** ******* refuses to give him a refund because they had some bad words between them and he wants to have a face to face with *****, if you know what I mean, his ego has gotten in the way. He now claims the work has been started even though on 4/27/22 he said it had not been started and agreed to cancel the contract and refund the money. Because ***** has special needs I handle his affairs, so I emailed ****** ******* to try and get this resolved. He just called me at 1:30 pm in response to my email and admitted he told ***** he would send him a check but is so angry at him that he has changed his mind. He told me to sue him it would be worth his time.
