March 15, 2022 I had ***** Cleaners clean my couch , 6 dinning room chairs and 4 kitchen chairs. The amount paid was $700.00. The chemical they used was a yellowish colored. It turned my couch and chairs a yellowish color. ***** cleaners came back March 16 and March 18 to re-clean my couch and chairs. They worked for hours both days trying to get the color back to the original color of the sofa and chairs. Without any luck on May 11 2022 they picked up a section of the couch and the dinning room chairs and took them to there business to clean on site. They didn't take the kitchen chairs. They gave us $1000.00 to replace them because they said that they were beyond cleanable. On May 20 ***** returned the couch and chairs. ***** refunded the cleaning fee. I am still not pleased with how everything turned out. The dinning room chairs the fabric is separated from the cushion. When you sit in them they are crunchy and the fabric feels like its going to rip. The couch was cleaned so many times its a different color, the tufting is loose, It has little balls all over and looks very worn.Business response

My apologies for the late response to letter dated 10/28/22, we just received via USPS on 11/7/22. As Mrs. **** stated we cleaned her furniture on March 15 for the amount of $675.00, which was refunded to her as requested. The furniture is 8 years old as stated by Mrs. ****. The prespray we use is a light blue color not yellow; the manufacturer is Pro Chem and the solution is called Fine Fabric. No other solutions or cleaning agents were used. All of the furniture is treated with the Fine Fabric prespray and then steam cleaned and extracted so that no solution residue remains in the fabric. The sofa is positioned in a room where the wall is a large sliding glass door, the color variation in the sofa is a results of sun fading. The color of the sofa was a light taupe-tan color and has lightened due to sun damage. The UV rays essentially bleach out the color of the fabric, this is very common on all fabrics that have sunlight on them. The tufts in the sofa are lose and stretched due to normal aging of the furniture that comes with wear. When the sofa is sat on and used the fabric stretches and can create piling in the fabric. We do not feel that the sofa is in a damaged condition. It's condition is a result of UV rays on the fabric and normal aging due to use. One tuft was damaged before cleaning and we fixed that at no cost to the customer.
The dining chairs which are a natural color did have an issue with browning. The foam that was used in making the cushion turned brown during drying. The color variation that was apparent is from the foam under the fabric. We recleaned the dining chairs and were able to remove 97% of this color variation. We did have a problem with one of the kitchen chairs, and as requested by Mrs. **** we paid her $1,000.00 to replace all 4 of the kitchen chairs when only 1 was damaged.
After returning the sofa and dining room chairs to Mrs. ****, ***** **** called and stated that the so-called damage was so minor and the problem had been rectified. During that call we assumed that they were satisfied with the cleaning of the sofa, dining chairs and the replacement of the kitchen chairs. Several months later, about 3 -4 months, ***** **** called again and requested us to pay for a portion of the sofa and dining chairs. We do not feel responsible for the normal wear and tear, the sun damage of the sofa, and the construction of the dining chairs which led to the foam turning brown. We have refunded all our cleaning costs, issued a $1,000.00 reimbursement for the kitchen chairs, and have spent many hours of personnel time and supplies trying to rectify this issue.
