Mr. ****** ****** of Parvin Electric came to my home on the morning of Wednesday, May 24, 2023 to install an outlet in my studio. He arrived at approximately 8:30 a.m. After taking a look at the studio and existing power outlet in the garage we discussed how he would install the outlet. The main crux of this complaint is that he said he would install the pipe along the bottom of the exterior studio wall. I asked him several times if installing the pipe - which containes electrical wiring - would be safe along the bottom wall because I told him that I often wash down the cement along that wall. To which he assured me several times that the pipe is weather sealed and not vulnerable to any water entering the pipe. He went on to explain how he seals the pipe and the wall, so not to worry. So I agreed. After job was completed, I walked to the side of the house and immediately saw that he installed the metal pipe midway level height along the exterior wall, and not along the bottom as he said. I did mention this to him and he commented that I could paint it and it would be less noticeable. I then paid the $700, and he left. I immediately felt that this was wrong, he did not do what he said he would do, which was install the pipe along the bottom of the exterior wall, and he should come back and fix the issue - re-install the pipe and place at the bottom of the wall. A few very busy days went by, then I called him on the following Monday, he answered and I told him my concerns. He immediately said that he would be back to fix it - move the pipe to the bottom of the wall as he initially said - and would call me the next day when he had a chance to look at his calendar for the week, and that he would be by that week to move the pipe. I thanked him and we hung up. At the end of the following day after not receiving a call from him, I decided to call him. It was close to or after 5 pm. He did not answer, so I left a voice message. About five minutes went by, then I received a text message from him saying that there was no discussion about the height of the pipe (conduit) and that the conduit was in "conjunction with the height of the receptacle, being standard for a split system." He then said he would have to charge me another $350 for the "upgrade." I reminded him that there absolutely was discussion of the height of the conduit, to which he flat out denied. Also important to mention, his comment about "standard for a split system" is another falsehood. The outlet he installed in the studio is higher, than all the other existing outlets in the studio and higher than all standard outlets. So again, he is being dishonest on both issues: denying that there was any mention of him installing the pipe along the bottom of the exterior wall; AND saying the height of the interior outlet is "standard."Business response

To put it simply there never was any conversation about the height of the conduit. I had discussed it being waterproof but clearly stated that it would be the same height as the indoor receptacle. I then installed the circuit adding the receptacle within the studio as discussed. Once finished the client inspected the work, said it looked good and promptly paid me for my work. Had there been an issue it would have been addressed immediately but no such issue was discussed. Several days later I get a phone call claiming that I had promised to put the conduit at the bottom of the wall and demanding for me to redo the entire job to her new specifications. I responded to 2 days later letting her know that I can make the adjustments but would have to charge an additional $350. I reminded her that there was never any discussion about putting the pipe at the bottom of the wall at which time she proceeded to accuse me of being a liar, cheat, and womanizer. The work I did was not only fairly priced but also up to code and clean, which she would know if she did any research. I stand by my reputation which remains impeccable.
