Unity has been sending me "violations" when I am clearly not violating the CC&Rs and community rules. Even further, they actually cite incorrect and non-applicable CC&Rs/Community Rules, and send me a picture of the "violation". Also, per our CC&Rs and community rules, the complainant is supposed to bring it up and contact the other person to resolve the issue, and no one has come to me.Additionally, I have explained to them that I am being harassed due to being a young family in the community and that people are abusing the complaint system. They don't care and keep sending me "violations" when I am not in violation. The fact that Unity is clearly sending me violations and the pictures to accompany for proof, and citing non applicable CC&Rs is worrisome to me. They are harassing me. Additionally, they allow for the violation of state and city laws within the community CC&Rs. I have reached out to them for help when another resident did something horrendous to my house animal.. and the other resident cited the CC&Rs in court, saying thats why they did what they did. The *** and Unity didnt care. *** told Unity several times they are allowing for rules to be created which clearly violate the city and state laws. I had to hire an attorney and pay about $6,000 out of pocket to take civil action and also press charges against the other resident. That resident now has a warrant out for her arrest as we speak. Unity and the *** dont care. I have undergone so much harassment by Unity and the people that live within this community. All due to me being a young resident and having a young family. Per law, where I live is NOT a 55+ community, yet they continue to harass young people, and complain on them, and Unity actually cites incorrect violations and sends them to the young families. And then when we bring all these issues up with them, they ignore it. This is not ethical. This is not okay for a business to have this much power to harass people.

Hello *** **, thank you for your sincere feedback. We do not agree with anyone making you feel the you've expressed. Please understand that Unity does not make any rules. Unity is outsourced to enforce the governing documents of your neighborhood. The name you've used and email used to this complaint cannot be found in our system so I can personally troubleshoot the situation. Please provide an address and your account can be reviewed. We highly encourage you to request a meeting with your ***** of ********** who govern your HOA. Unity is an outsourced agent to facility the mail and correspondence with your neighborhood and guide the volunteers. Thank you for your valuable input.

      Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:

Thank you for your response. However, I have emailed your company multiple times about how you are enforcing the HOAs rules by sending us violations. You are very much enforcing the rules. Further, your company is citing violations that arent even applicable. This is unethical. You have the ability to collect money from people, place people in collections, etc. You sent me a 1st violation for Christmas violations, when my house CLEARLY does not have any Christmas violations. I have been complained on so many times, for things that are not even applicable to the rules, or that are small, insignificant things, that dont matter. I have told you via email multiple times I am being harassed by people within the community, and you still dont care. You are abusing your power as a property management company. Further, you mailing me violations that arent even violations and you lying is not ethical at all. Your company and this HOA are causing me so much stress, and I have had to pay $6,000 to fight in court against someone who stole my cat and dumped her in a field. Again, she has a warrant out for her arrest. We have complained on that resident multiple times, and you dont violate her for harassing people, stealing their animals, for putting p*** in peoples trees. I had to go to court to fight. You absolutely have the ability to enforce rules, yet when it comes to people committing crimes in the community, you wont get involved. I am tired of having a property management company send me false violations (that is not lawful under any circumstance) and not handling people who are breaking the law in our community. And you allow for harassment  against young families. I have all this on video and photos. As a property management company, how are you able to enforce HOA rules that are against the penal code and city? How is that legal? You as a company should not be allowing your customers who are HOAs to harass people and break the laws. And further send out false violations. This is against the law. Plain and simple. I tried to attach a photo of the unethical and unlawful violation you sent to me but it wont let me. I am tired of the harassment from your company and from the people in this community. And you are ALLOWING it and sending inapplicable violations. This is not okay  under any circumstance. Please stop saying you are just a property management company. You know well that people are crooked and you continue to enforce their rules and can take innocent peoples money. The board of directors say they cant get involved either. Why are there rules in this community, and when someone breaks the law, board of directors and Unity say they wont get involved? But, you will get involved and make up violations and mail us harassing letters when you want to. Doesnt make sense. Unlawful, and unethical. And now Im out $6,000 and had to miss work to go to court to fight for justice. You are supposed to help your residents, not cause them harm and harass them. I cant post any personal identifying information as this may become public. However, you can find my emails sent to Unity at ********** community. I have emailed you over the weekend, and again your company never responded. You also ignored my email about the person in the Lexus taking photos of my home (I captured this on video). You will be able to identify me per these emails.

Hello, we are happy to help with this review and investigation. All reports are taken very seriously. Unity does not carry or have any power. We work on behalf of the ***** of ********* in the neighborhood. These directors are neighbors. We kindly ask that the submitter post their real name, address, and email in order for our team investigate this matter and take this up with her ***** of *********.

      Thank you,

I live in the villas. I’ve been being harassed by their committee member for more than a month now. I’ve reached out to the hoa and they’ve done absolutely nothing. They’ve been approving orders for security to come and tag my car constantly and there’s multiple cars parked for months yet they don’t do anything to them. At this point I don’t understand I bought the house feb 2022 and this experience has made me never want to buy another house in this community again. So far there has been 3 other people who have sold their houses and they’ve said this HOA will treat you unfairly if they feel like it. Exactly what’s happening right now. I’m frustrated the local police won’t do anything, HOA won’t do anything because the dude clearly works with them as he has orders approved instantly. Security is the same guy who comes out at night and stops at my car only. It’s literally a joke at this point of what’s happening but hey I guess this is what happens when a 80’s white man wants his way.

We have sincere sympathy for what this person is feeling. However, Unity is not the company present or on-site. No one on our team is part of the accusations. These accusations seem to be towards her neighbor, a volunteer perhaps. It appears to me that a neighbor has taken the government of their HOA into their own hands by submitting parking violations. Unity does not control the submittals or tickets or ensures anyone's safety unfortunately. If someone is feeling mistreated they may take it up with the City or Policy.

Thank you so much for the information. I hope this is helpful. No one on our staff is being accused in this instance therefore I would not have any control over the general public's actions.

      Sincerely,
      *** *****
