Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a complaint about a highly unsatisfactory experience at CREAM Ice Cream Shop in ******, **********. My visit on June 3rd, 2024, around 9 PM, raised multiple concerns regarding service quality and food safety.Upon entry, I was overwhelmed by an excessively strong scent of purple Fabuloso cleaner. The odor was so potent that I almost left but decided to stay after seeing the seemingly appealing orders of other customers.When it was my turn to order, I requested a "Cookie Sundae," expecting a tall cup of ice cream, a cookie, whipped cream, and caramel as described. However, the staff member placed a single cookie in a cup and asked for my choice of ice cream. I selected the birthday cake flavor, to which he responded, "That ice cream is flaky. Is that okay?" Confused by his comment, I agreed, only to find the ice cream was indeed flaky. I then opted for a different flavor.Additionally, I was entitled to two toppings according to the menu description, but none were provided initially. Upon inquiry, the employee instructed me to choose my toppings. I requested ***** and M&M's but received only faint Oreo crumbs and no M&M's. For the price of $7.99, this sparse and inadequate serving was highly disappointing.The most alarming issue was the cookie. It was stale, tasting as if it had been left out for days, and had a strong flavor of Fabuloso cleaner, making it inedible and raising serious health concerns.My attempt to address these issues directly with CREAM was unsuccessful due to a non-functional email contact. Therefore, I am seeking the assistance of the Better Business Bureau to secure a complete refund of $7.99 and to ensure appropriate measures are taken to investigate and rectify these concerns. The presence of cleaner in food is a significant health hazard that requires immediate attention.I trust that the BBB will handle this complaint seriously and assist in resolving this matter promptly.
