Avoid this business. They are unprofessional and lack basic character traits, including honesty and responsibility. I took my Honda lawn mower in for service at the request of Honda, because the product is under manufacturer warranty. At check-in the employee made it difficult to receive service and attempted to place as many obstacles in the way to avoid honoring their agreement with Honda to provide services on their warranted products. After 5-10 minutes of debate, he finally agreed to accept the product. Once again, I want to emphasize my reason for choosing this location was only because Honda sent me there. I would have never selected a business that has the appearance that J & P does. I was informed that the product would be checked and that I would be informed about the problem and will be offer a solution to fix the problem. Further, that they would inform me if it was an issue covered by manufacturer warranty. This was not the case, I received a call this week, stating that my item was ready for pick-up and that there was a remaining balance. Keep in mind, I never approved any work and second I was never notified that the issue was not covered by warranty and I never approved the repairs that they claim my product needed and that, according to them, were not covered by the manufacturer warranty. I tried to explain this to the employee, but they became upset with my questioning of their dishonest and potentially illegal practices. They did not offer a remedy to rectify their error and decided to blame the customer for their lack of professionalism and for ineffective inter-department communication. They stated that they don't do work for free as if that was what I was asking for. I wasn't asking for "free work", I was asking for honest and responsible customer service and transparency, but unfortunately this company lacks those basic business principles. I will be contacting Honda and other entities to seek support in addressing these types of business practices that should not be allowed in our communities. Please avoid Jensen & Pilegard, because they are not honest and they do not value customers. Unfortunately, it is too late for me to avoid this hardship, but if you are reading this you are still in time to make a decision that would save you the headache of dealing with a greedy, dishonest and overall unprofessional company, such as Jensen & Pilegard in Fresno, California.
