On March 11th 2024 I was sold a 2014 ***** Silverado at Auto Depot ****** from a Person Name ***********************, Managers Name is ***** . The truck was located at there Madera Dealership, I test drove it from Madera to there ****** location and on the way I noticed the check engine turned on, we had the ** running but cold air was not blowing. When I got to ****** we did the paper work and all , I was indecisive of getting the truck and ***** was telling me that the owner was getting upset because they were trying to get me approved and so I went forward with it, I told him about the light before leaving and he didnt even know the light came on so they took it to the back at there mechanic and said it was the thermostat sensor, then a week later I was noticing that the coolant fan wasnt not turning off and the temp wasnt showing , took it back they changed the thermostat and sensor, about a week and a half I noticed the truck was making a pulling on its gears so I took it to my mechanic and he did a invoice that the transmission is giving out so I took it back to them and it wasnt doing what I told them but it can be symptoms of it leading to it. So I was recommended to get the extended warranty but after I explained to them about the truck they didnt want to honor the warranty and I called manny and it just seemed like he didnt want me to be honest with them so now he is going to call them and explain that I misunderstood there questions . So I feel like Im being scammed, they sold me the truck for ***** and with interest came out to *****

I believe the company had me pay tags on my car (2010 ****** Corolla) from 2022 however, I was never told that I would be paying such fees. I was under the assumption that I was paying for the registration fee from 11/9/2023 the day I purchased the car. I need someone to look into this.

On Feb 26 I went in to auto depot and put $1000 on a vehicle gave them all my info and needed a cosigner so I found one which was a girlfriend of my uncle back several years seen her on Facebook asked her if she would do me the favor and cosign for me since I knew last she was doing good always have known her by ****** she was in town so we went and had her sign the papers I got my car and three days later they came to my work and repo it from me and went into my work place asking the front desk if I worked there and to tell me they are repo my car which was the most embarrassing moment of my life. I stepped outside with the man who was repo my car and he said cause it was something fraudulent on my application he than called the car company and I was able to briefly talk to owner who than said my cosigner application came back fraudulent. I was devastated and asked am I going to get my $1000 I just put down on the vehicle and he said no I been trying to get into contact with the car company as well as ****** and none have answered my calls or called me back. This is not right I'm a hard working person and struggle daily to get to work I would never fraud anyone and hiw much sense does that make knowing they have GPS on vehicle. I just want my money returned back to me.

On dec 31 2022 I spoke to **** over the phone. And we talked about my situation. And he ran my credit and told me that he didn’t care about credit and he could help me out no matter what. So I went to his dealership that same day started working on my situation and that’s when he introduced me to a sales person named Francisco. So that’s when he told me to come with a down payment. So I left and the I got a text from **** telling me if I could have my wife to co sign to make my application stronger. So on January 17 I came in with my wife and that’s when Francisco just showed me one car that looked no good and I said no and he showed me a 2015 Volkswagen Passat and I told him that I didn’t want it because it was a diesel and diesel was too high on gas price. He kept telling me that no it’s a good car. So I took it for a test drive and I told him I didn’t like the fact that when I let the break go, it wants to takeoff for me and I didn’t like that because of my disability, and he still didn’t, take no as an answer. So me and my wife was trying to leave the lot for they wouldn’t let us leave so we end up taking the car so the next day when I went to work, I noticed that the car shook on the freeway and made noises on the last shot in the engine belts started making noises and had water in the trunk . I called Francisco and he told me to bring it in so I did on my next day off. I told him I didn’t want the car and he told me that there’s no more cars but once one come in that he will let me know and let me know when I could take the car to the shop. And ever since I’ve been calling and texting and have not gotten nothing resolved so I don’t know what to do now. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:I got text messages from two different numbers that I’ve been trying to get a hold of them and they’ve been ignoring me the whole time and I feel that they waiting for so long that I can’t do nothing about it so now they’re trying to turn everything and trying to make it seem that I was one ignoring them. I spoke to a manager and try to tell him the situation, but right away he was making it seem that Jews the one in the wrong to not communicate with them. But he was not trying to listen that I have text messages from two different numbers so he was basically ignoring everything I had to say so for that that’s why I’m still rejecting his request for him lying about everything. Thank you ****** ********..

OK so in February of 2022 I went to auto depot to buy a car. I went in with the promise to pay when I receive my taxes. So they let me walk off with a 2014 Ford explorer for $250 down and a promise to find a cosigner and $9000 when my taxes comes in, mind you I was never given a date of payment. I had a hold on my taxes, i called and notified them, they told me that's fine just go in when I get my taxes. I made sure I notified them every week. And every week they would tell me a different thing as in just bring a cosigner and $3000, or just have your cosigner just come in if not bring in $6000. So I finally got my return in late April. I go in with no cosigner but with the $6000. My bank only let me withdrawal $5000. So they took that and then was returning the next morning to withdrawal another thousand. The next morning the guy from auto depot calls and say it's OK that he got me finance through a different bank and the $5000 was OK for now but I still needed to take in a cosigner. Then 2 weeks later they impound my car. A month goes by and they sell my car. And I had so much things that they didn't give back to me. My glasses I can drive without them, I had 2 gold rings, a pocket knife that belong to my grandpa, my paperwork from the auto depot ( asked for a copy and they won't give me a copy). Went to ask for my money back and they said they won't give it back to me but I can use it on a new car as a down payment. I don't want to do business with them no more. I'm not paying $5250 to drive their car for a couple of months. Miss me with the bs. And I got and took witnesses with me. And they ran my name through so many banks my credit score went from 649 to 500. Also in that month I did a all around break change, tune up and oil change and replace the back window. All my paper work was in the car.

I went in to buy a car at Auto Depot Fresno on June 21st & found a car but had to come back the next day because it was a holiday, banks weren’t responding. It was a car I really liked, they gave me their word they would get me in it & all. The next day (6/22/22) I get a call that we can get everything rolling. I get there around 9:30 am, spent more than a couple hours car shopping & trying to get approved. Turns out I couldn’t get into the car I really liked but there was one in Madera that was the same year, model & make as the one I really liked but couldn’t because I needed a bigger down payment. So Christian (Car salesman) and I drove to the Madera location, and I drove the car they found for me over there, cool. We got all the paperwork and contracts signed I even got my mother to co-sign this deal as well as paid for insurance on the car & I just needed to comeback because the A/C was blowing hot air and there were dents on the car. Heres where the problems arised. Now before I took the car in I almost filled the gas tank because the car was on E when they gave it to me, I paid $45.71 at the Walmart Gas station on Kings Canyon. I take the car in the next day (6/23/22) and they put it in the shop. In the meantime I submitted 1 of my paystubs for proof of income but when I told them (after everything was signed & sealed) that I was on workers comp (because of a work injury) all of a sudden they take the key away from me without my knowledge saying that I cant keep the car, that the deal is off and Im a liar and misleading the car salesman. But the deal and everything was done. They refunded me my $800 downpayment but not the gas that I put in the car. After leaving the lot I called the next day and the manager tells me Im a liar, Im giving misinformation and the bad guy and hangs up. Very unprofessional and wrong to do customers that way. These people shouldn’t be in business. But just on principle I want my gas refund. BBB can you help me? Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: We we're able to secure financing and in that time, I did own the car. It wasn't for the full 48 hour period but I did own it. I deservce a refund for washing that car and fueling it up after driving from Madera to Fresno, then home only to return and have it revoked unknowingly. Auto Depot, you know you did me wrong and I want my refund of $45 for putting gas in that car that, at the time, was mine. Let's end this business on a good note, because you guys could do better.

05/07/22 I visited auto depot I signed a deal for a car but was told the deal wouldn't be finalized until Monday 05/09/22 because my cosigner had to sign their portion of the paperwork I left a $500 downpayment to make sure the vehicle was ready to go on Monday. Sunday afternoon my cosigner backed out so I informed 2 employees from ad auto and only 1 replied. When I went in Monday afternoon I was denied my $500 refund. Their reason for this was because they said they paid the bank processing fees that totaled $800 but the deal wasn't supposed to be done until Monday. The car wasn't detailed as promised and I did not wish to proceed without a cosigner. I never drove the car off of the lot and we were not supposed to complete any transactions until Monday with my cosigner present. I did not receive any copies of paperwork I signed and when I contacted the salesman I didn't get a response. I do not understand why I can't just get my refund.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 17***609, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I did receive my refund but there was no confusion I went in person and they did not want to return my refund until I reached out through the BBB. If I wouldn't have known to make a complaint they would've gotten away with taking $500 from me. I hope this isn't happening to others.

I purchased a used car from this dealership end of July 2021. The current registration, tax and fees were included in the contract. When the plates came in the dealer said I owed an additional $343 because it came to more $. Since the date on the rags was February and it was already August I figured it was to cover the additional year coming up. It is now April and I went to refinance the car and found d out my tags were expired since Feb. So I wondered how did I pay so much and even the additional $ they wanted and only get 6 months of registration?? Also I was upset because I am a school bus driver and could have lost my job if I got a ticket for driving unregistered. So I look at the paperwork and see on the registration the amount I had paid was for the year 2020to2021 and 2021 to 2022. The dealer charged me back tags and fees for the vehicle that were owed. I spoke with dmv and they said that the dealer should have had it in their inventory to prevent those fees and I definitely should not have been charged for it because all the dmv fees are usually included in the contract and part of the loan I get and nothing beyond that should have been collected from me after the fact. And it should have been at least disclosed to me the situation with the back owed registration. So I called the dealer and they have been giving me the runaround. The lady Tina has said she will call me a few different times and never has called me on her own I have always had to call her. Also last Friday she said the guy that does their dmv stuff would call me when he came to the office and I never got that call either. I called again yesterday and she tells me the dmv guy says dmv gave me wrong info and everything is correct and I can pick up a printout showing a breakdown of what was paid(which should have been given already). So I get the paper and sure enough it has all kinds of fees and amounts for previous year fines and penalties from when I did not own the vehicle.

Auto Depot clearly states on the contract that official fees are estimated.  Fees are calculated accord to guideline set by DMV.  Customer was given a breakdown of fees and was given credit for penalties not related to current fees due.  Out of good faith Auto Depot is willing to refund money back to customer, but nothing was done in error.

Hello ******. I am writing to inform you that i still have not been able to get the money owed to me from Auto Depot after numerous attempts. My final attempt was last month when I put together all of the information with a letter requesting it again and all the documents showing any information about it and i had everything hand delivered by someone and also got a paper signed by the person who received it there as proof of delivery, and still got no response back. Also since we last spoke I have checked out some additional things and obtained more information regarding this company's practices in our deal when I purchased the car. I ran a DMV vehicle history report because someone at the DMV told me that the company had to go 2 times to try and register the vehicle to me because of a prob;lem with the title, so it made me do some more investigating about it. I also ran another vehicle report through auto check and I found out that I don't think they even had a legal right to sell me the vehicle at the time and did something that seems to me to be illegal to obtain the title for the car after I already had possession of the car. The auto check report showed that after their first attempt to transfer the car when DMV said there was a problem with the title, somehow they had some auto auction out of state say that they had the vehicle there and then they got a title for it somehow out of state, then they went back to the DMV here to do the transfer and put me as the buyer. During all of this, I ACTUALLY HAD POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE HERE IN FRESNO. I am including the entire pack of information that was given to Auto Depot along with the letter I sent with it all requesting my money again, and the paper signed when it was all delivered by their employee, the auto check report, and dmv report are also included. If you need any more info please let me know. Thank you. My phone number is ###-###-#### if you need to call me for anything.

      Sincerely,
