I made an appointment with a provider named *************** at this Health Center on Zoc Doc.I then received an email from a person named ***********************, a medical assistant at this Health Center about the unavailability of ***************. *********************** asked me if it is okay to reschedule with ***********************, which I said yes to. However, *********************** failed to mention the late cancellation fee of $150 in the email. It is unprofessional and unfair to force patients to pay for unforetold fees. I have manually cancelled my appointment with *************** on Zoc Doc with no penalties. I believe that this business has a pattern of luring patients into paying fees without thoroughly walking patients through what could happen. Here is another person's experience with this business on ****** Reviews: "****************** 6 reviews 4 months ago When I arrived, I was told by the lady at the desk that they were out of network which was news to me, considering I placed the appt on Zoc Doc and it showed IN NETWORK. They then told me I had to pay their $125 fee because they were out of network and apparently it was a discount. None of this sounded right to me, and I was livid and wanted to leave. She then tells me, Well. Youd need to pay the $150 cancellation fee if you leave. So they basically force you to pay their fee regardless, and then they show up as in network for my insurance on Zoc Doc. Unbelievable! The PA *********** was wonderful, and I had my consultation and exam with her, and wish I could see her again, but I am not going to pay their $125-$150 fee they are charging because they are alleging out of network. I went back home and low and behold, its shows that *********** is In network. A potential new patient *************** scheduled an appointment with our office but did not keep the appointment. The patient canceled with little notice and never became out patient. 2. Our office has a late cancelation and/or NO-SHOW policy which is sent to all new patients in the form of a Remind Text, a Welcome to the Office text, and on our new patient intake Consent Form.3. Before her appointment, the patient was asked to fill out her new forms including the policy of Late Cancelation/No Show policy. The patient did not fill out her forms as asked and gave us an incorrect telephone number.4. *************** did not keep the appointment and with our policy she was sent a late Cancelation fee.5.*************** contacted us because she was upset about the fee. She felt she didnt know about this policy and the reason was because she did not sign the requested forms as asked which had this information and she gave us an incorrect phone number.6. As a courtesy to her, we WAIVED the fee. It was GOOD CUSTOMER service despite her late cancelation in which we could not schedule another patient in need of this health appointment.7. After we waived the fee, she wrote a bad review and sent another review to the BBB. 8. Our office decided to put back the fee since she did not appreciate the good will.9. Our office was nice and professional to ************************10. Half of ***************** BBB review had a copied and pasted review of an unknown person which was not hers in her review paragraph.
