I was interested in seeking information about the Teacher's Next Door ***** Program, thus, I had to complete an application. Once I completed the application, I was contacted by a ***** Associate who gathered personal information about me and my current employment. Soon after, I was contacted by a Loan Officer with People's Mortgage about my needs. The Loan Officer spoke about different loans and just by the way he was talking, I asked if my credit report had been pulled and the Loan Officer stated yes. I informed the Loan Officer that I was only interested in seeking information about the ***** Program and that I did not give People's Mortgage permission to pull my credit. The Loan Officer explained to me that because I completed the ***** Program application, that that gave People's Mortgage the authority to pull my credit report. So now, I am ****** that my credit was pulled before I was given complete information about how the ***** Program fully operates and the fact that the ***** Program apparently works in conjunction with People's Mortgage. I believe People's Mortgage acted prematurely by pulling my credit and because of this, I have lost all interest in working with them. I then asked the Loan Officer to contact the (3) credit bureaus and request a reversal on the hard credit hit and I was told he could not do that.When I went back to look at the ***** application, it clearly states in bold black print, that "NO CREDIT CHECK REQUIRED."Therefore, I would please like the assistance of the BBB to contact People's Mortgage to resolve this issue. I would like People's Mortgage to contact all (3) credit bureau's to request a reversal of the hard credit hit.Sicerely,*******************************
