The service department at the Glendale Hyundai needs some serious restructuring because they offer inefficient services. I have been dealing with car issues since September. My car is burning oil and the service department said that an oil consumption test needed to be done. They stated that I had to drive the car 500 miles and bring it back so they could test the oil. This was done 3 times and I was then told that they had done the oil consumption test wrong. That now I had to drive it 1,000 miles and bring it in. Meanwhile, there were other issues with the car, I informed them about it and they did not want to run a full diagnostic tests on it. The car won't even turn on at this point and the general manager told me to go to another shop. They are a liability.

Possible bait and switch? I made an appointment to test drive a specific vehicle a couple days later. The day after making the appointment, I received THREE separate confirmations of my appointment, two of which were directly from the salesman I had made the appointment with. When I arrived for my appointment the next morning, I was told that the vehicle had been sold--the day I made my appointment. So, not only was my appointment *not* cancelled, nor was I made aware so I could decide if it was worth still coming in or not, I received THREE confirmations for the appointment specifically arranged to test drive that specific vehicle. When I asked why the salesman hadn't let me know the vehicle was sold, he dodged the question entirely and instead aggressively and repeatedly reiterated that he wasn't "holding" the car for me (not once did I imply I thought he was?). It was bizarre behavior. He was quick to A) try to get me to consider a Tucson Hybrid, which was way out of my price range, and then B) try to get me to consider the Ioniq plug-in, which was also way out of my price range. I expressed this and he still insisted I look at the plug-in, which was actually being serviced at the time so I couldn't even drive it. Overall, it was the weirdest experience. Do I think they really had the vehicle and had just sold it? Maybe. But either way, withholding information to get me into the dealership *knowing* you no longer had the specific vehicle I was interested in, and then trying to convince me to try out all these cars outside of my budget that you just *happen to have in stock* seems shady. Maybe not literal illegal bait-and-switch, but definitely shady. I would avoid this place at all cost. Like another reviewer, I ended up working with Downey Hyundai which was night and day. I had an amazing experience with them and would suggest you consider surrounding dealerships before you settle for this one.
