Date of the dispute: 3/27/2023 Nature of the dispute: I originally booked a car rental for 3 days. Upon pick up, there were various communication issues and I was overall unhappy with the quality of service and product. I was not given pick up instructions, the car had damage to front and rear bumper, damaged passenger side mirror, both front seats damaged, and the charging ports in the car did not work. Tesla Rented refused to provide a different rental car as a resolution. I no longer needed the car rental for 3 days. When I inquired about returning the car the same day, Tesla Rented said because I originally booked a $99/day car that was not available, they gave me a $130/day car (without my knowledge), therefore I cannot return the car early. I informed the agent that I was not happy with the product or service so far and no longer needed the business further. I returned the car the same day as pickup, therefore having it for roughly 8.5 hours (from 9am until 5:30pm). However, I have been charged for 3 days. I should only be charged for 1 day of product usage. Tesla Rented has not tried to resolve the problem.Business response

To whom it may concern:
As mentioned to the Renter, we do not offer refunds for rental vehicles because those dates are pre-blocked and we do not allow other clients to book. The vehicle that the Renter booked was not damaged in any way shape or form, she had never driven a Tesla before and had trouble navigating herself around it. I spent time with her showing her the correct way to operate the electric vehicle as she was initially confused on how to drive it.
After going over everything, she was able to drive off with the car and simply did not want to continue with the rental. Our rates are very budget-friendly, at only $99/day including taxes whereas other rental car agencies charge up to $250/day for Teslas. The car that we provided the client was in great condition without any issues, the client simply did not want to continue renting it and released the vehicle early. There is no problem with that; however, we already deny rental for other clients during her dates and for that reason, we do not offer refunds since we already have massive discounts on our vehicles.
I hope you'll find that there has been no wrongdoing here, in 3 years of operating my rental car business, I have never received a rating that was below 5 stars because I am always upfront and provide high quality of service on the vehicles and experience I offer to our clients. It is unfortunate that the Renter decided to go to these lengths to harm my reputation when I have done nothing but genuinely be there to offer my service and time for her convenience.
