Agreed to a turn key contract. 100% would be paid upon receiving the keys to my project. (in 2019) The project delayed a bit because of COVID and I understand that. but after a really long time of no communication i started to search for answers and i found that they had failed to paid their architect for my project so the architect stopped working on my project. so i started emailing them asking for answers and i only received a response the first time letting me know that my project was a few weeks away from permits. I emailed them a few times within a time line of 4 months with no response. I finally emailed them asking them to dissolve the contract to see if they would respond to me and they didnt. I was left with nothing after years of waiting so i decided to write a bad review and once i did i got a lawsuit from them. I also put a complain to CSLB and they tried to mediate to come to a solution but they keep lying about the facts and they also aren't willing to honor their contract After months and of not responding to communication, received a lawsuit for payment for a contract they never completed.Business response

Their response is sad and hurtful as at the end of the day I entered into an agreement with Levet because i wanted to and still want to build My ADU.
The very true statement is that Levet entered into a fixed price contract with me for the build of my garage and other scope of work and while understandably it was delayed due to covid that was not the main issue. The issue was that they failed to communicate with me after i had tried for months to email and call them and they would not respond. I have all of the documents needed to support my claims as well as testimony from the Architect who can fully cooperate that he has not been paid for the work done for my project. I went ahead and email them about cancelling my contract after my previous failed attempts at communicating with them had gotten ignored. I am in no way looking for money or retribution in any way. My only issue is that they are wanting to charge me for work that was never done and just like CSLB stated to them , they have violations in their contract as well as they dont really have a legal right to ask me for payment for a project that they have chosen to not work on. The reality is that when you enter into a fixed price contract you must honor the agreement regardless of inflation or material increases. That is the way a fixed price contract works: When we spoke to CSLB i asked them to honor their contract and they said no because of price increase. I have no reason to want more then what they were contracted to do but now instead i have a lawsuit and still no work done in my house. I have documentation on the failed responses from them after months, I have a signed notarized letter from the Architect letting me know that he has never received payment for his work on my project and that is the reason he stopped working on the project. The case with the contractor state license board did not close due to lack of evidence, the truth is it never made it to the investigation department , the manager of the case concluded that their contract with me had violations and that they werent legally able to request payment from me because work was never completed ... Nothing in my review is false and i am more then happy to provide documentation. Again my hopes is not to ask for money or anything from Levet my hope is just that they take accountability for an agreement that they did not want to honor. I am more then happy to provide documents and proof of all my statements.Business response
