I implemented a policy with Global Guard on 11/17/2023 and cancelled it 11/22/2023 because I was told that I would be able to get $500 deductibles that were required by my loan company only for Global Guard to tell me I could only get $1000. I submitted a signed cancellation notice on 11/22/2023 that ***** confirmed he received. I spoke with ***** after numerous calls to Global guard about my refund because ***** had not gotten back with me. He finally spoke to me on 11/30 telling me that I would be receiving $94 back as a proration of the $227 I paid on 11/17. 12/5 Today I checked my account to see a deduction from global guard of $114 which was the remaining balance If the policy would have been active. The policy is cancelled if I had a balance that means I was never supposed to receive a refund I would have been told this when I spoke to *****, ***** , **** , and *******. Now they are telling me I have a promise to pay on a canceled policy that I am supposed to receive a $94 for.It has been nothing but misinformation and miscommunication from this company and their agentsI have not received any refund of the proration nor was I ever told that I would have to pay the remaining amount of a policy I cancelled within 5 days. As a licensed agent this act is poor and unethical of global guard as a broker. All calls were recorded and I want this to be investigated as well as my refund of the $94 and unauthorized payment of $114 on 12/5Business response

On November 17, customer was looking to get a policy for full coverage. Agent provided a quote but customer said it was to much and look at liability and she will just upgrade it after a month. Quote was given for liability coverage and initial payment was provided to the customer. Customer said that she do not have the full amount to cover the down payment. We extended a courtesy for her to pay part of the down payment and pay the rest after 2 weeks to get the policy active. The amount collected from her on 12/5 is for the courtesy we extended to get her covered when she needed to get insured.. Customer signed the promise to pay document and we can provide the said document if needed. The $94 partial refund due to her for cancelling her policy will be coming from the insurance company via check and will be sent to her registered address.
