On July 17, 2023 I dropped of a pair of shorts and a blouse to this cleaners to have cleaned. They said Saturday July 22, 2023 they would be ready for pick up. On Approximately Monday July 24, 2023 I received a phone call from the cleaners letting me know that they lost my blouse. They told me that they can compensate me for the loss. I was devastated and told them that the blouse was sentimental to me because my mother had went to ****** and bought it and brought it back for me, but she was no longer alive. I told them to let me think on it. The next day I called the gentleman back and told him that I would settle for $150.00. He then asked me for the brand of the blouse and a receipt. I told him that I would much rather have my blouse back than the money because it had sentimental value to me. He told me he would look harder for the blouse and call me back in 1 month. He never called me back and when I tried calling they were not answering my phone calls so I drove there. I told the girl that he was supposed to call me and obviously they never found the blouse or he would have called me. She said she would relay the message to him and have him call me. Another few days passed and I never received a call from him, I had to call back. The same girl told me that he told her for me to give it another 2 weeks. Today it has been 2 weeks and still no call or anything. Can you help me resolve this. Woodley Cleaners is telling me that they are not the ones who lost my blouse that it's the company they send their clothes out to get cleaned who lost it.
