On 10/5/21 My husband paid a deposit of $****** to **************** ****** Rain Gutters to install rain gutters at our home. My husband was told by Mr ****** that he would install gutters on our house on Saturday 10/9/21. On Friday 10/8/21 I texted Mr ****** 3 times to confirm installation of gutters the next day. I did not receive a response. On 10/9/21 Mr ****** texted my husband he was coming 10/12/21. On 10/12/21 Mr ****** texted he had an emergency and will install gutters next week and will text before coming. Week of 10/18-10/23 did not receive text from Mr ******. On 10/25/21 I texted Mr ****** requesting deposit back if he was unable to do job. No response. I texted Mr ****** a 2nd & 3rd request on 10/26/21 & 10/27/21. No response. Mr ****** texted he will see us 10/30/21. I replied we will be waiting on 10/30/22. Mr ****** replied ok thanks. On 10/30/21 he did not show up. I texted 2 times asking if he was coming. 10/31/21 Mr ****** sent text that he had had an emergency and would be at our house in 40 minutes. Mr ****** arrived with samples to show me. No work was done. We were told he would be back 11/1/21. On 11/1/21 I texted if he was coming. No response. 11/4/21 I received text he was waiting for materials and would be at our house 11/6/21. No show or text on 11/6/21. 11/12/21 I sent certified mail requesting our deposit back by 11/30/21 or I would file claim through Small Claims Court. Certified Mail tracking card from **** came back with signature indicating business received my letter. I also sent a copy of letter via text. I am requesting my deposit of $****** be refunded since no work was done.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/05/13) */ I was in contact with Mrs.************** via phone on Wednesday 05/11/22 and we agreed to meet at her residence on Saturday 05/14/22 to return the $****** deposit that the owners gave me on 10/05/2021. Unfortunately, I was not able to get the job done installing the gutters because the cooper material was completely out of stock in many places. Also, I had medical emergency issues at home, my wife had to have surgery and my daughter had started her cancer treatment and I had to be home to help them.
