Adoption can be very a stressful and emotional process; we are so grateful to be working with Lifetime, benefiting from their knowledge and experience. Throughout our wait we have only ever felt Lifetimes commitment and support to us.

I would leave no stars if I could. What a scam. I started an uncontested step-parent adoption process in ***** before we ended up making a last minute move to ******* but in ***** a home study is required for a step-parent adoption but not in *******. ***** never told me that for a little more I could just have an easy, uncontested step-parent adoption through the **************** without her $1600 fee for services that is received before anything is even done. Even if we did go through with her home study she was not upfront of everything we would need before she was paid. She said it would be a study of the home, interview and fingerprints/background check but after she was paid the list was a mile long. She was not transparent at all. After speaking with a ******* family law attorney and finding out I did not need a home study for a step-parent adoption and that its a flat fee of $2500 since the adoption is agreed upon by all parties I brought it to her attention that her services were never needed and that $1600 could have went a long way into having our adoption finalized in ******* and she stopped responding. She and my previous attorney in ***** knew all along this process could have been done more quickly and cost effectively in ******* but for some reason kept drawing it out for it to be settled in ***** even though we havent lived there in over seven months. I also asked if there was any chance I could get my money back as she was not transparent and she didnt respond. Ive disputed the charges with my credit card company and I will edit my review if she does the right thing and refunds the money for services not even needed or rendered. It does not seem like she cares about children at all, otherwise she would have advised me for a little more than her fee I could have my adoption settled in the **************** very quickly and without her services (which we never received after being advised to start the adoption process in *******).

*******'s attorney in ***** contacted us on her behalf to complete a home study for a step-parent adoption.  In accordance with ***** law, a home study is required, however the family had moved to ******* prior to completing the adoption. We worked with the family and began the process.  After a number of months, it is our understanding that ******* wished to move the adoption to ******* rather than continue the ***** adoption. After contacting a ******* attorney, she was advised she would not need a home study.  She alerted us of the change on a Friday night and sought out a refund, which she received as no services were rendered.

Frauds!!! Liars!!!! Thieves!! They collect thousands of dollars from poor unsuspecting families who just want children. Stay away!!! These are NOT the good people they claim to be. Its not about adoption. Its not about families. Its about them getting all the money up front with zero return. You will get to see some fake videos and your pictures online, but there is no adoption. Ask them how many clients they have compared to birth mothers. They wont answer that. Ask how many times you have been presented. They will just say a lot. They are never upfront about their stats. Just write them a check, The lie, steal and destroy. Keep your money!! Do not turn it over to these charlatans. Check your contract. It says they can terminate the contract at any time for no reason and they eliminate and recourse you can take. The contract says you cant *** them. STAY AWAY!!! Someone from Lifetime will try to refute what ** saying and said they never canceled on us. But I still have the email. Save your money and your dignity.

*****, as you know, your file was closed per your family's request. Your wife shared that your family needed to focus on health issues.

Fraud! Fraud! Fraud! Terrible company! Im not sure how they have any good reviews since they have a very low adoption rate. Please be aware they also have different company names. Do your research! They make you sign a contract with a $20,000 deposit (which is non refundable after 72 hours). They never call or reach out to you, unless asking for money of course. They state they are birth-parent driven which basically translates as Adoptive parents get no support or encouragement. Their way of supporting you is insisting you listen to required webinars which are not only repetitive and annoying, but are really just to buy time. If you are not okay with gambling $40,000 (photo shoots, home studies, booklets, etc) please stay far, far away! Especially if you have any filters (ie baby girl/boy, ethnicity, etc). We are very blessed and grateful that we were able to expand our family due to our faith. It is our duty to make sure other adoptive parents are aware of what they are signing up for. If I can save just one family then I have done my job.

*****, it is disappointing to read your review, especially after you and your husband were offered a beautiful opportunity to adopt a newborn baby fully within your stated preferences. Sadly, we cannot control how babies are conceived, and those conceived in **** or assault are in need of loving homes too. After you chose to pass on that opportunity, we continued to work with you until you advised us you no longer wished to continue because you were welcoming a baby of your own. Our webinars and check-ins are a valuable part of our adoption education and preparation for adoptive families. We always welcome feedback and solicit ideas for topics continually. These are important, especially for families who have never adopted before as they learn about open adoption and what that looks like in real life, post-adoption. We also educate and share adoption stories and let adoptive families hear from professionals and birth parents, so you truly have the best possible preparation for your own adoption.I am sorry that you chose not to say "Yes!" to the birth mother that chose you. She was heartbroken as well, as she thought you and your husband were the perfect parents for her baby girl.
