On 5/15/2024, I had my Harley ******** towed to Feroma Motorsport located at *************************** Hanford ca. because it wouldn't start. I was told that a diagnostic would be necessary and the fee would be $250.00. I was also informed that the fee wouldn't go towards repairs. Before the end of the day I contacted Feroma to not start the diagnostic and I will be picking the bike up first thing in the morning. On 5/16/2024, I arrived with a tow truck. I was informed that only $210.00 of the $250.00 will be returned to my debit card . When I questioned this action I was told that they have to charge me $10.00 per transaction. Even if that was so, They would have just charged me $20.00 instead of $40.00. I'm seeking a $40,00 refund because no work was done. this is bad business practice as well as theft.Business response

Once a customer has been notified that their bike/atv is ready for pickup- unless otherwise discussed, a storage fee of $50/day is charged. Mr. ******** was informed of this, first when he called in 20min after having his bike towed here for a diagnostic, to inform us that he had changed his mind, and no longer wished to have his bike diagnosed- saying he would be by first thing in the a.m. to pick it back up. Then, once again informed- when he finally did show up at the end of business the next day. (well over 24hrs)
Typically this daily storage fee, is flexible. BUT in this case we had to roll this bike in from the street (where the tow truck dropped it off) to the shop, and then again to get it out of our way the next day at the start of business. And on top of that he paid with a credit card and was refunded back to his credit card, meaning we were charged for both transactions.
Regardless he was only charged $40 for the inconvienance and credit card fees. That didnt stop him from going on a 20minute rant (loudly) in the middle of our store- customers and all.
Honestly shouldve charged him the full amount plus credit card fees.
