On February 25, 2025 I purchased four items using Trashie Cash. I received two of the items, but I have yet to receive the other two items. I sent an email inquiry on March 21 and again on March 28 with no reply from the company. I would like a refund to my Trashie Cash and my credit card.

On Jan 5, 2024, I purchased a gift card with "Trashie Cash" earned through the site. The gift card was unusable. I emailed the company to let them know, and they sent me a new gift card, which was also unusable. I emailed again to let them know and got no response. On Feb 21, I emailed again asking for a refund, and was encouraged to send a screen shot showing the gift card didn't work. I received no response to this email. I emailed again on March 21 and March 27 asking for any response or update and received no response from the company. A ****** search informs me that this is a very common response from the company, and many gift cards sold are unusable.

The Chewy gift card redeemed by the customer was faulty and our team was unable to find a solution with the gift card provider. We have now re-added the $15 TrashieCash spent on the gift card back into the customer's account and added an additional $20 for the inconvenience.

The only option for a user to initiate any returns or exchanges of goods purchased on For Days is to email ******************************* within 14 days of purchase. Bear in mind, these items are expense. I purchased a pair of shoes that are the wrong size and emailed ******************************* within the appropriate time frame to exchange them for a smaller size. I received an automated response that they are busy and to expect a delayed response within 3-5 days. It has been two weeks and I have not received a response. Additionally, it is now outside the 14 days limit to be able to make a return. The company has a completely unacceptable customer support policy and team. Furthermore, I placed an order for additional items at the same time as I purchased the shoes, and I have not received them. The order totaled to around $240.00.

I received an item that does not resemble photograph and description. Immediately read return policy and item fit within it how the website has no instruction on to where item should be returned.Sent request for information on how to return item and received following (website has no phone number or address on it): Hi ****,Thank you for reaching out to us and supporting our mission of keeping stuff out of the trash! The popularity of our Take Back Bag has caused a delay in our response time. Please anticipate hearing back from our team within the next 1-2 business days. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience caused by the wait.Cheers,Team For Days This email was dated 12/10/2023 and I have recurved no further response despite having replied 4 times with the same information.Though I have an account, the account does not list orders so I can not get information on my many previous orders. I cant get information on how much this item cost though everything is incredibly expensive. Supposedly the Closet Cash earned by buying Take Back Bags and returning clothing for recycling is applied but the policy in how much is applied changes without warning.

On November 6, I ordered three Take Back bags from this company and received an email that said they would ship within 1-2 days. On November 17, I still hadn't received my bags. I got a response on November 22 that they changed fulfillment centers and that I needed to wait a full 14 business days to receive them. On November 28, I only received one of the three bags. They said they reshipped the other two bags that day. It is December 11 and I have not received them. I have repeatedly emailed them to ask for a refund with no response. This company promises a good concept but literally can't deliver it.

On November 14th, 2023, I purchased 3 Take Back Bags from the company For Days for $65 (Order #******). Each Take Back Bag costs $20. The company offers to recycle your old or unwanted clothing, which you mail back in the bags you purchased. In exchange for purchasing them, they also give you $20 in store credit per bag, called Closet Cash. You can then redeem the Closet Cash on future purchases. When I went to the ForDays.com website today, they were running a deal where the bags now earn you $50 in store credit per bag, versus the previous $20. I received my Take Back Bags with no problem and easily scanned the ** codes on the bags to get my $50 in Closet Cash. Since I bought 3, I now had $150 in Closet Cash. When I went to check out with the items in my cart, totaling up to $150, I found out that the company has now put a limit on how much Closet Cash you can use per purchase, which is $20. It was only after searching the website for 15 minutes that I found that they added this new policy to the end of the Take Back Bag Description. This policy has changed in the last few months. I'm a repeat customer, and purchased 2 Take Back Bags in September. I received $44 in Closet Cash then, which I redeemed on Order #******. As you can see in the screenshots I provided of my order, I easily used my $44 Closet Cash on my purchase, which exceeds the new $20 Closet Cash limit they've now put in. I also provided a screenshot of the description of the Take Back Bags from the WayBack Machine in September 2023, which shows that the last line of the description is new. They've since changed their policy, without letting customers know of the details. Had I known that there was a $20 Closet Cash limit on new orders, I wouldn't have bought them.I'm hoping the company can lift their new misleading Closet Cash limit as well as put the disclaimer of how much Closet Cash you can use per purchase in multiple places on their website so it's easy to find.

I purchased two items from For Days on their website 10 days ago. I thought I was making this purchase using what is called closet cash. This is cash that I earned by buying a take back bag. A take back bag is a bag you can fill with old cloth items and then they recycle it. When you buy one, they give you a $20 credit. In the past you could save your cash and use it on a purchase at one time. Now they only allow you to use $20 per purchase. I did not realize this at first and my card was used to pay for the rest of the purchase, which I also did not realize. I wanted to cancel the order immediately, but you have to go through customer service. I did this. I received a reply. They canceled one item. The other item could not be canceled immediately because it went through another company, Easy Sunday. This company failed to cancel the order and sent it to me. I have asked multiple times for a return label with no response. I need my money back because I need it for bills.

The company has a "take back bag" wherein you buy for $20 (plus shipping) a plastic bag and put old clothes and textiles and return it for a $20 "closet cash" to spend on their sustainable inventory. Company advertises as a save the planet by keeping textiles out of landfills. I bought 4 bags and returned them over a 4 or 5 week period. During that time they changed their entire program. Now, instead of allowing customers to utilize their closet cash (I have $80.00 for the 4 bags) in a lump sum for one or more purchase, they only allow customers to use a maximum of $20.00 per purchase. Had that been the "deal" from the beginning I would have never got involved because ALL of their inventory is over priced, but it seemed like a good deed to keep my old clothes out of the landfill and get a shirt or a couple candles. Now I have to spend hundreds of dollars to get my money out of this debacle. I either want my money back for the "change up" in policy mid-deal or them to allow me utilize my closet cash for one purchase as i was originally told. This is a bait-and-switch situation.

Over the past few months, I have purchased 5 Take Back Bags, totaling $100. In exchange I have received $100 in "Closet ******** *********** advertises that the customer can use the "Closet Credit" toward future purchases. When I went to purchase a $70 item, it became clear I could only use it in $20 increments. I emailed customer service on 11/14/23 stating that I would like a $100 gift card because they did not publicly advertise their policy of $20 limitation per purchase. They responded that they recently changed their policy to include the limitation and they know that changes can be inconvenient. They recommended I go to Trashie.io and use my credit there. I found this inadequate, but figured I would try. I went to Trashie.io on 11/16/23 and they offered somewhat cheaper items through their partner stores. I figured I would cut my losses and get a discount on a cheaper item, so I exchanged $20 of my Closet Cash (still the maximum per purchase) for credit toward the store "Amour Linen." Trashie.io sent me a promo code for the credit. When I entered the code, it returned "invalid code." I emailed ********** who has not gotten back to me. When I made the exchange, I had to confirm that I knew that I must use the $20 prior to 12/16/23 or it would disappear forever. If nothing else, I need a working code prior to that date. However, I believe I am owed the full $100 back. For Days advertising includes lies by omission, and they changed their policy after I had already paid them. My credit was not worth what I thought it would be worth based on their description of their product. This is deceitful.Below I have receipts from my email of $80. I cannot find the last receipt - they either never emailed me one or I accidentally deleted it. However, I uploaded a screenshot of my account info from their site which shows I have purchased 5 bags, $20 each, as well as the email where they state they changed the policy.

On May 30th 2023 I purchased what the company calls a "Take Back Bag". The company offers to recycle your old or unwanted clothing, which you mail back in this bag. In exchange you receive a store credit, called "Closet Cash" which you can then use to purchase something new from their online store. On June 14th 2023, I received delivery of a purchase I had made, (order #******) using a portion of the store credit I had received. On June 15th 2023, at 7:21am EST I sent an email to the company asking for an exchange as the size that I had received was incorrect. I received a reply on June 16th 2023, at 1:03pm EST from customer service - the contact name in the email was *******. This is what she wrote: "Thank you for reaching out! I apologize for the error. I have reached out to Turn to let them know about the error and request the correct item be sent out. I will let you know when they respond."I have since learned that the company, For Days, is a reseller of clothing from other brands. But rather than hold the stock themselves, it appears that they order from the brand and then resell that to the consumer. This is not clear from their website. I did not hear anything from the company and sent a follow up email on June 19th at 6:49pm EST. After still not receiving any communication from the company I sent an additional follow up email on June 21st, 2023 at 7:04am.As of writing this complaint, Friday June 23rd at 10:15am EST, I have still yet to receive any correspondence from For Days. I have found dozens of reviews on Trust Pilot, and 2 reviews here on the BBB, that indicate this is a common issue with this company. The resolution I would like is to receive the correct size of the shirt I ordered (a size small) and to return the shirt that is the incorrect size. If I cannot do this, then this amounts to the company doing a bait and switch - getting consumers to mail in old clothing for recycling, only to purchase something new that they can't use.
