Went 11/2/23 to get a car, was approved, was told they would let me know when the plates and tags arrived, it never happened. They keep asking for money and more documents and everytime I do, they say they need something else. They lie and say plates are there but are not. At less than two months of having the car it broke down Christmas weekend, they ignored my calls, no response. It’s 2/8/24 empty plates expired 1/24/24, still no plates, they are extremely rude and lying every chance they get. I just want my plates and tags. They have their money.Initial Complaint

Purchased a used car with a 2 year service contract 6/18/22. Dealer called and voided the contract on 11/1/22. We had $2000 in repairs to the car this Summer that would have been covered by service contract. We've made multiple polite calls and sent letters to the dealer trying to get resolution. We believe he sells people these service contracts with Liberty Shield, then voids the contract and collects the refunds.Initial Complaint

7/31/21: Purchased vehicle from Hayward motor group; down payment $3000 and making ongoing monthly payments for car (remaining estimate total of $18,000 after down payment). Was told car was in good condition, spare tire included and license plate would be delivered 8/13/21: check engine light comes on, no spare tire 8/16/21: contacted ***** (car salesman) about spare tire and was told he would arrange something today or tomorrow 8/19/21: drove all the from ********** to Hayward and back (total of about 210 miles) to resolve check engine light problem and get spare tire. Check engine light never resolved and didnt get spare tire. Tells me he will have spare tire delivered to me 9/3/21: still havent received spare tire and no response from ***** 10/1/21:finally responded but still no tire 10/17/21: finally received spare tire, but check engine light still comes on 3/11/22: contacted ***** about never receiving license plates 3/16/22: ***** said plates were returned to him because it required signature but never reached out to me or notified me about it being returned. He said he will send it out today 4/1/22: still havent received license plates. ***** said he sent it out already last week and asked if I wanted the tracking number but never gave that information to me. 4/6/22(today): still have not received tracking number or license plates This owner is non responsive and doesnt follow up with promises hes supposed to keep as an owner and businessman selling cars. I would like to resolve this problem with receiving my license plate and check engine light issue fixed so I can drive my car safely without worrying about getting pulled over or having any car issues. It is a safety issue for me because I have an 10 month old baby who I also transport in my vehicle.
