Initially when I called to order this building that was way ****** priced to begin with they had me put a $2,000 down payment down which was non-refundable no matter what so about after a week I realized I didn't want the building cuz it was going to be $12,000 and I didn't know that in the beginning but I could not get my $2,000 back if I if I canceled it so I carried on with it so when I called them back when they went over everything with me I asked them specifically if I needed a building permit they said it was up to me but I did not need one because it was going to be on gravel not concrete so I told him that was the last of my money and they said well you should be fine because you don't need a building permit so then when they showed up they showed up with no doors no windows due to losing the bottom of the door and forgetting the windows they barely gave me 15% off of my original price for forgetting those things and losing the door and they proceeded on to put the building up well after they left a few days after they left code enforcement came and I got coded because they said I absolutely needed a building permit for that I feel as though if they're charging 12/12,000 for buildings they should offer the building permit with the price because of now I cannot afford the building permit and also I would need the the written out plans for the building which they want to charge me $1,700 to get to get the building permit so we're talking ***** and I don't have it I'm tapped out because of the building and they will not do anything to help me and I'm going to get in trouble by code enforcement I think it's bad business and I think it's wrong of them not to offer that when they charge so much for their buildings that aren't even worth itInitial Complaint

I made a deposit toward ordering a building to installed on my property and the deposit was made on 6/1/2022. On Monday 6/6/2022 around 8:30am, I called to cancelled my order as my permit didn’t go thru. On Tuesday 6/7/2022, the sale manager sent me an email trying to convince me to move forward if they give me additional site drawing with no extra cost. I respond back and declined. On Wednesday 6/8/2022, I call for an update, the manager didn’t even call back. They trying to delay the cancellation process so they can take all of my deposit money and don’t want to give me a refund. Today, 6/9/2022, still haven’t got an acknowledgment or a call confirmation that my refund is processing. I feel rip off by this company. I would like my full deposit to be refunded. I purchase a carport from Steel Complex Buildings, which they installed. They recommended the type of building and gauge of metal material off of the elevation where I told them it would be installed at. They assured me I would not need it to be certified as being certified did not do anything as far as structural integrity. The carport was installed in June of 2021. The cost of it was around $4000. In December of 2021 the carport collapsed during a storm. My boat received major damage from the car port collapsing. I tried to contact Victor (the owner of Complex Steel Buildings) but got no help and have been lied to. He is unwilling to help me and return my calls. When I do get a hold of him his states I will have to call you back but never does. He finally admitted he isn't going to doing anything because the building was not certified. The reason is was not certified was because they recommended it not be and getting it certified is a waste of money. He products have a 1 year workmanship warranty this should fall under. I would like my money back or a new carport.
