This company place a lien on my home. I have had NO business dealings with this company. I have not signed a contract with them nor have I ever talked to anyone in this company. With that being said: This company have place a lien on my home in the attempt to embezzle $1,1100 fro me or risk foreclosure if said amount is not paid in full.Business response

Hi,
We received the attached notice of complaint filed by you with the BBB against Hi-Grade Materials Co.
What you are referring to in the complaint is a preliminary notice, we are not attempting to "embezzle" from you.
The preliminary notice isn't a lien; it is a notice that a subcontractor or supplier has provided or will be providing goods and/or services to improve your property and could file a lien claim if he/she is not paid. As a supplier, we are required to serve notice of the preliminary lien notice to you as the homeowner. As long as the invoice is paid timely, no lien will be filed against your property.
ICP Concrete Pumping purchased concrete from Hi-Grade Materials and placed it on your property, prompting the preliminary notice which is standard practice in California. The invoice was due May 20th.
I would recommend speaking with ICP Concrete Pumping to confirm when they will be paying the invoice for the material that was delivered to your property.
