      On July 10, 2024, I ordered a Genesis *** MSR Duraflex Front Bumper Lip Body Kit for $207 plus $95 for shipping totaling to $302. Once received and open at a body shop, I noticed that the package was not protected with enough bubble wrap to prevent damages during transit and upon arrival. Very sloppy and unprofessional packaging.While I was unpacking the item at the body shop, so I could get the front lip prepped and prepared, I noticed a large amount of imperfections, dents, scratches, and concerns that I recorded on video and took pictures of when communicating with this company via email. Made multiple attempts to call over the phone and was sent straight to voicemail. After a large amount of emails going back-and-forth, they sent me an RA number RA49395 and refused to send me a shipping label so the item can be returned. A rep named ******* told me to write this RA number on the side of the box so they could identify what or who is associated with this item once they received it.They refused to send me a returning ship label unless there is a fitment issue. I find this to be absolutely outrageous because I didnt create the issue and it shouldnt be at my expense when their product didnt meet the standards and expectations set on their website.I shouldnt have to pay any expense for an item that was shipped to me, damaged, bruised, chipped, and not in the condition in which they advertised. If shipping cost me $95 to receive the item, I find it very outrageous that I would have to pay and additional $95 or something similar for them to receive it back.This company should be providing me with a prepaid shipping label so I can send this item back and receive my full refund of $302.

                   Thank you for reaching out.  These parts come unfinished.  That top layer is just a protective coating over the fiberglass.  First step of the prep process is sanding that off.  Don't see any damage to the actual fiberglass.  If there was damage we could file an insurance claim, but if you simply do not want to prep it you would need to ship it back yourself under the ** provided.

      Im extremely disappointed with your response. Ive purchased this product before, and it was never in such poor condition. While I understand it comes unpainted and unfinished, the description online makes no mention of the scratches, dents, and other blemishes it now has. This also comes with confirmation from my body shop technician who prepped and painted my M&S America Front Lip in 2023, that this item you sent shouldnt have had these issues. 

      It is unacceptable that these additional expenses should fall on me. The responsibility lies with your business to ensure the product arrives in a condition that matches the description, which it didnt. I expect you to address this issue without further inconvenience or cost to me.

                   Thank you for getting back to us.  Don't see a prior purchase from you on this or any other piece.  Can't speak to the type of material you got on your last part, but fiberglass parts always come unfinished and just need to be prepped prior to paint.  We'd be happy to help with a partial refund back in good faith to help out, but nothing we can see from the pictures is out of the ordinary.  It just needs the standard prep work before primer and paint.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, I will consider this complaint resolved.

      The partial refund will go towards getting this part prepped and in the appropriate condition that it needs to be. I will wait for the business to contact me regarding this partial refund.

      If the business does not reach out to me regarding the partial refund, or I have not received it, this complaint will not be resolved, and I will be contacting BBB again.

      Looking forward to getting this taken care of sooner than later.

      I made a purchase online through Bodykits.com for a front bumper for my *** on April 24, 2024. The shipment was going to my local body shop for the alterations to be done and painted. It was being shipped to Bright Paint and Body Shop ******************************************* Attn *********************. Order *******. ** April 28, 2024, I sent a message that I needed to cancel the order due to totaling my car. ** April 29, 2024, ** responded to either refuse the shipment or accept the shipment and send it back. The total shipping costs would be deducted from the total price of the refund when they receive the bumper. Tracking ********* ******* Express. ** May 2, 2024, I spoke to ******* Express. They said they will send it back to the manufacturer. ** May 2, 2024, ** replied thanking me for the notification about the return. And that once they received it that they will process any refunds due. ** May 7, 2024, I was able to get the new tracking number from ******* Express of the returned item. Pro Number ********** associated 315140638.** May 7, 2024, ** responded that he had forgotten about the return. And he would notify the rep about the return. And he would follow up as soon as he heard back. ** May 17, 2024, I sent a message referring to the front bumper that had delivered for a week. It delivered on Friday, May 10, 2024, back to the manufacturer via ******* Express. ** May 17, 2024, ** replied that he is still waiting on the manufacturer to credit and confirm. As he was going to send another message to the rep. ** May 17, 2024, I got a confirmation from ******* Express that the shipment was delivered to their location in ************ on May 10, 2024. I have sent several messages since the last response. But now I have been ghosted by ** and Bodykits.com. All I want is my refund and part ways. I hope others will read this and stay away from this company. Next time I will read the reviews. I have all of the emails to and from Bodykits.com for reference if needed.

      On March 3rd, 2024 I ordered "Extreme Online Store 2014-2019 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Light Tinted ********************* Rear Spoiler Extension 1". It has been 5 weeks and the only shipping status I can get is "no status". I called, they don't take calls and tell you to use email or chat. I have sent multiple emails and hit the chat box MANY times. I get NOTHING. No response to anything. They happily took my $170 and never shipped anything. I asked for a refund, no response. I ordered the part from someone else now and have it installed. I wish to have my money back.

      I bought a cobra rear bumper from them for my mustang. I've been building cars for a long time an I know there will be fitment issues when buying aftermarket but the bumper I received is complete junk to the point where it's not even worth fixing. The bumper I received does not look like the one posted on there website. Had I known I would look like that I would have never purchased it. I don't not recommend using this website at all.

                    Thank you for reaching out and sorry to hear you are unhappy with the bumper.  As explained in the email yesterday these do come unfinished and do need prep work to obtain a finished product.  If you bring this to a body shop instead of doing the work yourself they will be able to prep this bumper for you.  If you could those please send photos of the part so we can see what is going on.  If it's actually a product defect and not just needing standard prep work we'd be happy to help get a case going for you.

      I recently purchased a carbon fiber hood through this company. They did not reach out about my item being on backorder until I asked for an update. My husband and I read through the shipment box criteria for what was considered shipping damage. We noticed a spot that looked like it had runs under the clear coat, but wasnt damaged in shipment. We noticed upon installing that this hood was just poorly made in general. Its shocking that it is a $1,600 hood normally. Im disappointed that I paid so much money for a poor quality item. I will no longer purchase through them & send others elsewhere. To add: I did reach out and they wanted me to give them a dozen different photos and angles. Have the item off of the car, on the car, pictures of shipment box. I get you have to cover yourself too, but based on previous comments, looks like it isnt worth the effort. Just give everyone the run around.

      I have called them numerous times I've talked to a individual name ******* who assured me that I would be receiving an email I received no email I received no calls back I keep getting the runaround on where my rear bumper is and I am worried about getting scammed by this organization! The initial reviews seem to be okay but after doing some further research the reviews are absolutely horrific and I want my merchandise or my money back!

      I purchased a body kit for my Dodge Magnum and a hood in April or may and it doesn't fit let the company know was told to take pictures and have the shop to do a prefit did all of that and still will not refund my money. I demanded many times for a refund in emails before i filed a complaint then they started telling me to have any other shop trim and cut the parts to see if they fit. i told them that if i do that they will not take it back at all then because they will say they can't resale it.

                Customer's tracking number was ********* via YRC.com.  Delivered back on March 17th.  Buyer did not reach out to us until May 10th which is well past our 30 day return policy.  Customer's shop does not know how to install a body kit and was attempting to install it upside down.  Even though we're past the return window we're still happy to help.  Customer just needs to take pictures at a shop familiar with aftermarket fiberglass parts.  We can not help any further until then regardless of her constant demands and threats.

      I ordered a bumper cover from this website for $457.35, after I payed I received an email from the company saying that the one I wanted was discontinued. They sent me other options to exchange for. I picked the most like the one I wanted. When I received the cover, it did not fit my car. It was too long and requires me to remove my metal bumper (which is against the law). I emailed the company and asked for a return/refund. The company asked for some photos of how the cover doesn't fit so I sent them about 10 photos demonstrating how it doesn't fit. The only way I could do this is to have someone hold the bumper up for me because there is no way to bolt it as it is. The company asked me to remove my metal bumper and send more photos. I told them that I will not and can not remove the metal bumper. They now will not cover shipping charges. They also have many reviews stating that when people return things they hardly get their money back because the company states the item was damaged.I fear that if I pay for shipping that I will pay about $100 to never have a bumper or the money back for my bumper.I am a 21 year old, I do not have the money to waste on something that won't fit my car.

      The pictures requested are not possible. I cannot take the metal bumper off my car. I and multiple mechanics have looked at it. My metal bumper is a part of the chassis and does not come off. In addition, taking it off will be a huge safety concern. The bumper I had originally ordered, and the one I wanted, would not have required me to take off my metal bumper. I know this because I have seen another car with that one and they did not have to remove the metal bumper. 

       

      I would love to return this bumper cover as it is taking up space and is impossible to resell. As I told JD, I would like a signed document or some form of proof that I will not be charged if any damage occurs during shipping. As previously stated, I have seen reviews of many people returning items and they do not get full refunds.

                  Thank you for the response.  I will have JD re-open the case with that info.  We most likely will need additional pictures, but will have him reach out to you.  If you're just returning it I would highly, highly recommend getting shipping insurance in the case of damage during the return.  If we are able to deem this defective though you won't need to worry about shipping it back and we can refund in full or replace.

      Hi BBB. My name is ****** Nova. I bought an item from bodykits.com for $1804.55 Shipped, order number ******* , tracking number ********* . Order was placed on July 26th. And delivered August 8th. The item is listed below Item: Lexus SC Duraflex ******* Wide Body Body Kit - 8 Piece - 106576 (895061) First of all, they only shipped 5 of the 8 pieces, so Im missing hundred of dollars of parts. 2nd, pretty much all the pieces were either cracked, damaged or scratched, and extremely poor quality overall. 3rd, the price was reduced on their website to $1267.00 shortly after I placed my order and they are not willing to refund the difference. The only thing they said was to file a claim to their email for missing and damaged pieces which will not guarantee a solution. It was marked on the delivery carrier (YRC) notes, that they have damage, but since most of the packaging was sealed, YRC is not held accountable. I tried contacting Bodykits.com for a long time and finally someone answered, they had very rude customer service and unwilling to help or provide a solution. Not even willing to refund the difference in price on their OWN website, even with all these issues. Im going to file a claim on their website like the customer service said and see what happens but Ive never dealt with a worse company in my life. Id like to find a solution or get my money back I feel like Ive been scammed. please help!

      I ordered a trunk lid for my 2006 Bmw325ci from bodykits.com order number ******* on 02/28/2022 for $388.00 plus $117.00 in shipping they gave me a discount of $19.40 for a total of $485.60 and received it about 3 months later. When i called them prior to ordering to ensure the part number was the correct trunk lid for my car they stated yes that trunk lid part number will fit the 2006 *** 325ci ALL MODELS however upon receiving the lid it did NOT fit my car at all so I called them stating that it does not fit and sent them pictures of the attempted install showing that the trunk lid did not fit at all and when I talked to the manager requesting to return the lid for a refund I was told that part number does not fit the 2006 *** 325ci convertible. And they would return it but I would have to pay for the return shipping and when i argued that the description as well as there employee states that the lid will fit the 2006 *** 325ci ALL MODELS he stated that I did not tell them it was a convertible so I would have to pay return shipping even after he acknowledged that they did tell me ALL MODELS still refuses to return the item for a full refund including return shipping I also told him and sent photos of broken spots on the inside of the trunk lid and he stated they have to get approval from the manufacturer to return and i would hear back within 5 to 7 business days and have not heard from them since. I just want to return the defective item that they told me would fit for a full refund and for them to pay the return shipping. The manager that i have spoke to on multiple occasions name is **** and tells me that when they stated All MODELS they did not mean the convertible however nothing in the description as well as there employee did not state accept convertible just stated it fits ALL MODELS. I have now been waiting about a month for them to resolve the issue.

                    Thank you for reaching out.  We have reviewed the phone call prior to the order.  You let our rep know you had a 325CI, but made no mention of it being a convertible.  There isn't a trunk on the market for any vehicle that will fit a standard model and convertible model the same unfortunately because of the extra room needed for the mechanics of the convertible top.  The pictures we show in the listing all show the standard 2dr and not a convertible.  Do apologize that we did not have this information sooner.  We could have let you know it would not work for your application.  Still welcome to return and we can get you an RA, but you will be responsible for shipping it back.

      I believe I am entitled to full refund including shipping because there people stated All Models and the convertible is a model of the 325CI which would fall under All Models. They did not say all standard model and they did not state accept convertible. As well as the fact that upon receiving there were broken spots on the inside of the lid and the plastic inside the lid is so flimsy im afraid it will break under even finger pressure. I believe with there people telling me it fit all models and the sub par craftsmanship and broken spots inside the lid that they should be giving a full refund and taking the lid back with no extra cost to me.
