      I took a brand new dress out of the package that I was going to wear for a wedding to be hemmed. When I went to pick it up there was a circle stain (resembling oil) on the dress. I shared this was not there when I brought it and she said her seamstress would fix it. I went back to pick up the dress and there was a large white circle on the fabric in the front of the dress. I let them know the dress was ruined and I wanted a refund and she insisted that it was my fault and the stain was not there doing. How could you in good faith present this back to a customer? I want a refund. They did not give me a refund and instead yelled back and forth with me saying I was just looking for money $. I was only looking for a refund as the job was her only job was to hem the length and it was brought back to me with a stain on it + my dress was ruined. We argued more and she then said she was going to call the cops on me if I did not leave. I asked if anyone else in the room could help me and no one said anything. This is the worst customer service I have ever received and this business is operating under corrupt management. Although the tailoring was only around $28 or so, my dress was $300. It is not just about the money -- I was shown no respect or customer service in this transaction and I this business should have consequences for these actions. It is hard to see in the photos due to lighting and the material but I am attaching photos as well.

      Hello BBB,

      We are aware of this customer's complaint and strongly disagree with the events as described. The dress was originally dropped off for hemming, with a stain already present. This is confirmed by our off-site Alterations specialist. When the customer returned to pick up the dress on Tuesday, September 20th, she requested the stain to be removed. As part of our customer service, we decided to provide additional cleaning free of charge, though we do not and did not accept fault for the stain. On Thursday, September 22nd, the customer returned to pick up the dress, the customer proceeded to berate one of my staff members for a "ring stain," which the staff member was not able to see.

      Without allowing our staff nor I to check the dress, the customer continued verbally harassing the staff and demanded payment for the entire dress, claimed to be worth $300, though no receipt of the dress price was presented. She did not request a refund for the hemming at any point, but instead attempted to extort compensation beyond services provided.

      Once the customer's unreasonable demand for full payment of the dress was declined, the customer continued her verbal harassment, afterwhich I requested she leave the premises otherwise the police would have to be called. During her departure, the customer also phyiscally assaulted me by throwing a wooden box in our store at me.

      A police report has been filed, and will be available upon request. The physical assault was also captured on video, which can also be made available upon request.

      Please let us know if there are any questions or clarifications. As I nor my staff were able to see the supposed stains and are unable to see the supposed damage in the photos shared, we encourage the BBB to dismiss this complaint.
