I have not paid into the membership. I have a ski condo timeshare in ******** with huge maintenance fees. Those started at $165 annually, and over a number of decades it is now $2000. I wanted to get out and this company seemed attractive. I was in meetings, the day after the initial pitch, which the membership sales person didn't seem to hear. The calls started evening of the same day we spoke, and subsequently the calls came in, before I w awake, and through the day and evening. Over 5 days, I have had over 50 calls. Many of the calls were double, you know, no answer and the next call is 10 seconds later. What kind of company does that?? You would think, since I wasn't calling back or answering, I had no interest. I really didn't want to speak with "her" again. Ultimately, I have answered, I was afraid the calls would never stop! I gave a clear, "I am not interested"I am glad for the other reviews. It helps to know that others have had experiences that confirm the sleaziness and lies. I want to get rid of the timeshare, and wanted to know that my experience wasn't a one off. There is no chance that I will become a member, ever.Review from Mary C

Our experience with Spotlight Resorts was first-class! From ease of booking to receiving more than what was expected. The resort we stayed at was absolutely dreamy. Included was everything you can ever wish for while on vacation. From a fully loaded suite with balcony to beautiful pools, spas, bbqs, on-site restaurant - just absolutely wonderful and caring service all around. Will definitely use Spotlights services again in the future and would recommend it to my friends and family.Spotlight Resorts Response

Lies every two weeks since 2017, three or four times said they had buyers but always fell through. Once she asked for $400 to help for escrow with prospective buyers deal fail through and had to threaten with lawyer before she sent $400 back then last time again ask for $400 to help with escrow and today I have removed my listing as my timeshare has changed and she absolutely refuses to send me back my $425.Spotlight Resorts Response

***, Being that you removed your listing in Nov (2022), there are no refunds! Too much time has passed.Generally refunds are issued 90~120 days from when the payment is received.But we made an exception for the 1st refund even though it was beyond the time allotted.Spotlight ResortsReview from Kathleen M

I have been working with Spotlight for 5 years as a member . They have been excellent especially their associate *****. She has always been timely in her communication with me . Most recently in finding a renter for my time share in St. ******. I highly endorse Spotlight !Spotlight Resorts Response

I am very disappointed with ***********************, she made many promises that she was going to sell my timeshares, she has not fulfilled. From August 25,2021 until March 7, 2023, money was provided in order to receive the services initially. 3/16/22 a request for more money because she had a buyer and the seller was responsible for the title fee. ****** stated," We need to get the paperwork and then it can go to title and inevitably something going to happen. I will call you in 2-3 weeks once we hear from the bank. One time she said, "There is a buyer but would like to rent before buying." February 10,2023 @ 9:00pm, ****** left a voice mail, checking in with you, spoke to title earlier this morning. She's just waiting on the forms they ordered that go in the package that you and the buyer will be signing so they ordered them from the resort they should be in soon. This has been an on-going behavior every since I agreed to their service. I received an invoice today for membership fee for 2022 and 2023, I refuse to pay for service that haven't been provided.Review from Vivian R

Trying to sell our ****** timeshare thru Spotlight Timeshare (Resorts) since July 2021. ***** said they had a buyer and then it was trouble because they needed a co-signer. Every few months ***** would call to say now we need more money because of membership fees had gone up or various reasons why we had to pay more money because of interest rate hikes. Now in November they're asking for more money around $200. I asked if they could just take out of our selling price whatever money is being asked of us now. She said no. I asked who the buyers are, who is the ************* rep that I can get ahold of. She told me it's ******* ***** and ********** and that she would ask the ************* and bank to call me. I told ***** I'm not paying any more money. I'll just cut our loses now rather than more later. I will say that ***** was good about "touching bases" every month saying ****** does things slowly. All the reviews I've read on this BBB sites sound consistent with what I've experienced.Spotlight Resorts Response

We are very sorry that ********************* is unhappy with some of the changes we had to make to compensate for inflation, increasing interest ****** **** Treasury hikes.Due to privacy laws we can not disclose any personalized information. That is why use member #'s. This is how it 's always been set up from the beginning.We did speak to ********************* today & reexplained all of this to her. Terrible do not use. Seven years of hearing from ****** we just need to get the paperwork and then it can go to title and inevitably something happened. We finally turned it back to the company and again I heard the same old song and dance.
