My son and I went to Hoag Urgent Care for a *** Covid test on 12/12/20 and the staff told me that the cost for the test was $121.00 for each person. I paid $242.00 for my son and I on the same date of service (my husband also took the same test one month prior and the cost was also $121.00). However, a year later, on 2/4/21, my son and I received a **** from ************ stamped "Initial Statement" for $150.00 each. Total due was $300.00 for the *** lab tests they have done for Hoag Urgent Care.************ have taken my 12 year old son and I to collections for two $300.00 lab tests, claiming that we owe this amount on top of the $242.00 we have paid Hoag Urgent Care.The agreement was with Hoag Urgent Care to do a $121.00 Covid test for each person, which was the total cost they've informed me at the time. The $300.00 additional from ************ was not discussed at the time of service by Hoag Urgent Care. We only had the swab tests and were not seen by a doctor nor had any type of consultation while at the Urgent Care but they decided that they wanted to **** an additional $300.00 a year later. I have contacted Hoag Urgent Care as well as ************ multiple times upon receiving the statements. ************ instruction was to have Hoag Urgent Care put the **** back on ****** account to remove us from collections. Please help us resolve this issue as Hoag Urgent Care office manager, *************************** will not speak with me after multiple attempts in contacting them to clear up this matter.
