            With 1500 Sound Academy, students receive an education in, and access to, the music and recording industry that they can’t get anywhere else. It starts with active involvement from the two founders, James Fauntleroy and Larrance “Rance” Dopson, who have worked with some of the biggest artists in the music industry. Additionally, industry luminaries frequently serve as guest speakers and share what they have learned with the students.The school also has partnerships with some of the top music equipment manufacturers, including Roland and Fender. The Southern California-based academy teaches an on-campus six-month program and online courses where students learn everything about the business of managing a career in music, including music production, mixing, songwriting, engineering and artist branding. These are post-secondary certificate programs that do not include a degree, but upon completion, students are well-positioned for a successful career in the music industry.
