My mother went into the Del Mar (San Diego) Between the Sheets store to purchase a complete bedroom set, sheets, blankets and many accessories. When she placed her order of about $20,000, she was promised that she would be sent a whole new set directly from the warehouse, and not the ones already on display on the shop floor. She was accompanied by her sister in law and cousin, a loyal customer of ********************** who witnessed the sale. The sales person kept calling and texting my mom everyday saying that the furniture is ready and packed in the warehouse to be shipped and insisted of the payment to be paid in full. When I contacted the sales person to pay for the goods on my credit card, I asked what if there are damages while in transport, and she assured me that everything is insured. It took many calls from my mom and myself to get the date the items will be delivered. When the goods finally arrived it appeared they were the ones from the shop display and many items were damaged, chipped, soiled. The expensive sheet came with a miss match pillow cases and 2 lamps that were paid for never arrived. My mom sent a complaint letter to the manager with the picture of the damaged furniture, but nothing was done and no response was provided. To date the 2 lamps have not been received either and nothing has been done to replace the 2 wrong pillow cases. The store manager and sales person were not truthful and very unprofessional.Considering the very high price my mom paid for this bedroom furniture and accessories, and the shop being very reputable high end furnishing shop, one would think they should have at least arrived in perfect condition.
